Not every founder of Holme stood among its first stones.

Lucius Pygmalion the Younger was absent.

After the dissolution of House Pygmalion—and after Galatea freely chose to remain beside him—the surviving chronology becomes uncertain.

Lucius was lost to stasis and time.

The archives preserve no reliable date.

No confirmed location.

No mechanism.

No name belonging to the person who may have placed, hidden, or abandoned him there.

Where certainty ends, the record remains silent.

By the era in which survivors gathered among the ruins of Drakmar, Lucius did not walk beside them. He did not physically raise Holme’s first shelters, restore its waterways, or stand among those who began transforming the ruin into a home.

Galatea carried his memory in his place.

She carried the bronze seal of the House he had ended.

She carried the story of a man who surrendered every advantage granted by inheritance rather than allow freedom to remain subordinate to property.

Through Galatea, the survivors learned what Lucius had chosen:

House.

Property.

Inheritance.

Standing.

Future.

All relinquished so that another person might belong only to herself.

His absence therefore did not become erasure.

Holme came to understand that a founder need not be the person who places the first stone. A civilization may also be founded by an idea carried into it—by a sacrifice made before the city existed, whose meaning later becomes law.

Lucius gave Holme no palace.

No dynasty.

No inherited throne.

He gave it a principle:

A person stands above property.

That principle became the human origin of Holman freedom.

For this reason, Lucius Pygmalion the Younger was remembered as the Father of Sacrifice, even though he did not stand physically among Holme’s first builders.

An empty place remained beside the founding fire.

Galatea remembered who should have occupied it.

Then she spoke his name so others would remember too.

The man disappeared from lived history.

His choice did not.
