Lebanon Community Discusses Bible Quotes and Palestine

Summary

In r/Lebanon, a community member recounts a heated debate about the conflict in Palestine and claims that biblical passages could be used to justify violence and enslavement. The post cites Numbers 31 and Deuteronomy 20, raising concerns about the safety of Syrian and Lebanese women and the impact of religious rhetoric on the conflict.

I had a debate with a Jew online and he said this

I was debating a Jew about the conflict in Palestine and the debate got heated because he was supporting the genocide based on religious beliefs then added more saying the Jews will also enslave and rape the Syrian and Lebanese women as their book permits.

**"Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man." Numbers 31:17-18**

**"As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves. And you may use the plunder the Lord your God gives you from your enemies." Deuteronomy 20:14**

He got me so worried because based on what I saw and read, the Israelie army does resort to biblical references on many occasions to justify their actions, so they might resort to much more horrific biblical ethics in the future.
