Living in Lebanon

Hello all,

30M, born and raised in Canada (Toronto) to parents who immigrated from Lebanon in the 80s.

I have a Lebanese citizenship and obviously a Canadian citizenship. I have only ever been to Lebanon once (when i was 10). I do speak fluent Lebanese Arabic, however.

My family has some properties in Lebanon and I am being proposed the opportunity to go to Lebanon for a long time (maybe a year or longer), to deal with these properties, fix them, rent them out and ideally make money off them.

Should I go to Lebanon to do this ? Is it safe right now? For myself, with very little authentic Lebanese experience, could I make this work out? Could I imagine living in Lebanon long term and calling it home?

I have always wanted to be more connected to my roots.

Thank you for your advice and shares!
