but I've seen a lot of debates and quotes from the Quran putting the Maile gender above females, mentioning specifics promised to men in paradise and not so much for women.

there may be contexts (pls make us understand, if Ure a Muslim)

Anyways many feminists don't even know what they are fighting for.. they just hate men

hazelguitar-50

Women are opressed yes. They should be treated equally yes and they should get what they deserve

hazelguitar-50

But hating men isn't going to solve anything for them.
Nobody has the right to hate anybody.

hazelguitar-50

Hate just produces more hate and the loop continues

niftytiger-43

I said give me 10 minutes because I had something else to do. I just pointed out how your question was less about women liberation and more about measuring strengths.
And you skipped how I mentioned we statistically have 64% of the legal rights men get
This isn't my reply to your question yet. But first try to think like less of a misogynist and more like a person trying to understand why real feminism is still needed

@hazelguitar-50 But hating men isn't going to solve anything for them. Nobody has the right to hate anybody.
silvergarden-37 OP

it isn't going to solve anything.. yes
but they do have the right to hate men.

understand, hating on men would make you hate even the innocent once who wasn't even born or didn't take part in the oppression, and would never even do it ( already happening, some women saying they would abor.t Their kid if he was a boy)
if u were .. assaulted by someone you would hate them, now imagine a lifetime of oppression,.

I'm not saying they should, but they have the right to.

then again like you said, it would only make things worse for humanity, genders wars and stuff.

hatred can be justified.
moral and emotional intelligence teaches you to forgive and/or understand why they did what they did.

hazelguitar-50

Ehhh I don't know

hazelguitar-50

Have to think

silvergarden-37 OP

hatred is an emotional reaction of someone else action or reaction.. or inaction.
it's like a mirror, you don't control it, you can actually with years of training yourself to understand that people have reasons for what they do and may not even know that they hurt you.

silvergarden-37 OP

the same way a cut sends signals to ur brain to let you know u have a cut, hatred, is an emotional response to someone elses reaction.

niftytiger-43

And while you're all busy talking about misandry, which isn't feminism, as I already explained, you seem to forget that misogyny has cost countless women their lives and is one of the foundations upon which patriarchy is built.

We live in a world where misogyny remains pervasive, yet many of you appear more concerned with bruised egos and arguments about splitting bills while women are still fighting for the liberation of other women who, in many parts of the world, are not even regarded as fully human simply because they are women.

You seem to care more about TikTok feminists than the very reason feminism exists.

you understood only half of what I said earlier. Honestly, if I respond properly, it will have to be tomorrow because it's already 12 a.m. here.

niftytiger-43

And if you want to bring physical strength into this discussion, I'll have you know there are many women who are anatomically stronger than some of the men I encounter every day. Yet are those women trying to establish dominion over men?
Invoking physical strength in a discussion about equal rights is absurd.

You're bringing the creation of mankind into this while conveniently forgetting that, according to the biblical account, woman was created from man's rib, from his side rather than from his feet. The symbolism suggests neither inferiority nor subjugation.
Although, interpretations of this are subjective.

You want to talk about authority? Look at the countless wars, conflicts, and atrocities initiated by men pursuing power, dominance, or wounded pride. Look at the statistics regarding the number of women and even men who have died as a consequence of this so-called authority.

niftytiger-43

What's particularly ironic about this is how readily you generalize men as strong based on biology, history, and statistical trends, yet object when men are stereotyped as misogynistic or harmful based on historical patterns, statistics, and empirical evidence.

Women still do not enjoy complete equality, yet is ignorantly asking why women aren't applying for labour-intensive jobs, even though I have personally seen women across Africa performing such work.

Talmbout "ignoring hard labour" while disregarding gender-based employment discrimination and wage inequality is intellectually dishonest.

Women endure menstruation, severe cramps, childbirth, dehumanisation, and often physically demanding labour on top of all that. Reassess your line of reasoning.

And genuinely, there is no reason to regard the positions women demand access to as somehow "higher" when these are the exact same opportunities that men have historically been granted with far fewer obstacles.

If you stopped viewing the issue through a misogynistic lens, you would stop comparing splitting bills to equal rights. Especially when men continue to claim superiority through narratives that portray them as inherently greater, more capable, the default breadwinners, and the natural prot

niftytiger-43

Petitions are being created and signed by women, many of whom are privileged enough to have a voice, on behalf of women living under oppressive systems, such as those subjected to restrictive muslim laws in countries like Afghanistan.

Besides legal discrimination, there are also harmful practices such as female genital mutilation, which continue to affect millions of women and girls in parts of the developing world. Petitions are being signed by women about this too.

niftytiger-43

While people online obsess over TikTok feminists and gender wars, real feminists are signing petitions for Afghan women, advocating against female genital mutilation, fighting child marriage, challenging discriminatory laws, and campaigning for women whose basic humanity is still denied in parts of the world. So, I don't get the point of this hot take

happyquartz-18

Yeah but the thing is that no matter how long we fight for woman who lives under restrictive muslim laws, we aren't gonna see any progress cause most of the woman agrees with whatever her man say cause they won't be alive the next morning if they don't do as told and the government can do anything about that

silvergarden-37 OP

this is where I disagree.. again.

he made a point about women not going into those "hard" jobs, what did you do, you justify.
women endure menstrual pain, yada yada.
and then you go on to say that men has always been granted the opportunity to work in those positions and women have obstacles to get in them.
obstacles? this brings it back to my point, men are more physically stronger.. majority, it shouldn't be a debate.

if you, as a manager wanted someone to get those jobs that require intense physical strength you would chose a man too..
that's not obstacles, that's not sexist, that's role, that's efficiency.

silvergarden-37 OP

don't call someone misogynistic when there's no evidence.

@happyquartz-18 We can argue about this for as long as we want but I don't think anything is gonna change
niftytiger-43

This is exactly what I'm talking about: women, particularly those with more privilege and freedom, advocating for the liberation of women who do not have the same opportunities.

The oppression is so severe in some parts of the world that even you seem to recognise how restrictive and unjust certain systems, laws and muslim laws can be towards women.
Yet your response/solution appears to be that we should simply stop talking about these issues or stop caring about them.

Women and girls are being ra##ed in broad daylight for Christsake.

Perhaps if more men invested the same energy into supporting women facing genuine oppression as they do debating feminism on TikTok and Twitter, these conversations would be far more productive.

The truth is that many of the men arguing about feminism online are more concerned with internet discourse than the issues feminism was created to address in the first place.
However, I don't think you fully understood what yesterday's conversation was actually about.

Before you cherry-pick what to respond to, you said, "Here's what resulted in the oppression of women," and then proceeded to cite a religious stereotype that you yourself don't even agree with, which I attempted to refute from a biblical perspective.

And justify what? Did you skip what I said about African women working in labour-intensive jobs?
Did you also skip what I said about many women who are anatomically stronger than some of the men I see every day who still get those jobs "that require intense physical strength"?

And you proved my point in your last statement about gender-based employment discrimination btw

silvergarden-37 OP

listen ,men are mostly physically stronger .. than women.

secondly yes, I know how much the women in Africa work in hard and intense jobs, but you know what's the nuance?, the men too work in harder jobs.

you're conveniently calling it gender discrimination, but if there's a dichotomy of choice between a man and a women for who you would choose to nurture ur kids, like taking care of them, the babies - without an opportunity for details you would more times pick the women. would you say Ure discriminating?
no, bcs Ure judging based on data that u've gathered. women are better at that roles and so are men on the former.

plaidzephyr-34

They already are fighting it but to sound less racist they blame all races than go on religious basis. Making the target vague...partly reason why feminist movements are failing today.

plaidzephyr-34

The target is not constant.
