I just finished paying for first semester bill for college, 15k. As a suny school that’s a lot. I believe college shouldn’t cost a dime, some countries have free college BUT their taxes are higher so it can even out. I live in the us, i live in the city. Why am i paying an annual salary for a job i wont be starting for another 10 years? AND for you to take half my earnings? Some people do get free college due to lifestyles or background but you still have to pay for the small fees, like my meal plan was paid for and all my books, that’s 7k$ FOR ONE SEMESTER. That’s insane and i honestly think since so many people think college is a scam, if we were to make it free we wouldn’t have a low employment rate bc people would be able to pursue their dream job free of charge

I think they should but govs shouldn't lie abt lowering student fees just to start increasing it massively every single year
free means someone else is paying for it
Some are yea, ik schools r business but theres all this financial aid that is given to thousands of people ever year, i think they should use those programs and aid pool it together and pay for the degrees for ppl that need it

last year, 10k will the aid, with no aid it was going to be 23k for a semester
that’s a baseline salary for min jobs
I'm gonna have to pay almost 10,000 pounds by the time I'm in my 3rd yr of uni

i do rlly think all these programs to help low income people and the aid can be pooled and be used to pay for people’s colleges
