Signups for King of the Leaderboard are now available ✅ 🖊️

You must sign up to participate in King of the Leaderboard. This is so I have confirmation of how many people are participating, as well as the required information to track and subsequently send out rewards once all is said and done.

The decided event is Capitalist Cakeday, and the time and date that King of the Leaderboard is taking place is Saturday, April 25th, at 10:00AM PST.

If you sign up, please set time aside so you can make it! And remember, even if you don't hit the top three, you get to pick almost any suit as a reward for participating!

👑 King of the Leaderboard - We're running it back! 👑

Scheduling issues ended with our latest run of King of the Leaderboard being cancelled, so I'm running it back and will be scheduling this one on the weekend, to ensure it's accessible to as many people as possible.

In case you don’t know what King of the Leaderboard is - it’s a no holds-barred 30 minute slugfest, in which all participants join an event at the same time and compete to have the highest score at the end of that half hour. No suits, no badges, just pure efficiency.

First, second, and third place take home 500, 250, & 100 gold apiece, and all participants get almost any suit of their choice - with suits like the Decadence Tuxedo being excluded from said rewards.

To ensure that everyone is starting at the same point when we get there, there are two major requirements for participation:
▶️ Have your game feed being shown in VC at all times. Discord allows for native screen capture, even on mobile!
▶️ Progress and event goal points must be at 0 before you start.

If you think you’ve got that special something to stand triumphant over all others, you better get those gloves polished, because King of the Leaderboard is on its way!

I will be running a vote tomorrow for everyone to decide which weekend event will be our battleground, and from there start accepting sign-ups via a submission form and lock in a timeslot for the event.

As such, we are now taking sign-ups for the culinary competition of the century - wherein you can submit your information via this link.

This is more of a formality that makes it easier for me to get everyone their rewards once all is said done. Otherwise, King of the Leaderboard will kick off on March 20th, at 10:15AM Pacific Standard Time.

For those participating, the event will go as follows:
1) Participants will join the King of the Leaderboard voice channel and share their screens
2) You must ensure that your Cap/Indie is not wearing a suit or badge
3) You must ensure you have not yet begun the Let Them Cook! event. No business(es) should be bought, and you should not have any event score. If you do, you may be eliminated from the competition entirely.
4) Once it has been confirmed that all participants are following the aforementioned steps, we'll kick things off! The competition itself will last 30 minutes, and upon the completion of that the winner(s) will be decided in descending order of score.

What I want to know, is if all of you believe this should be a true, bare-knuckle competition in which anything goes: suits, badges, the works - or if the playing field should be completely level. No suits, no badges, just raw efficiency.

Either way, there’s gonna' be some competition, and to kick things off we’re putting up a vote to decide which event will be our stage. Once that’s decided, I’ll be taking submissions for those who want to participate before scheduling the main event itself.

We've had a heck of a February! 💘

From event rebalances to gilding changes, and a whole upcoming suite of quality of life updates thatyou made possible, it's been a fantastic month all around!

Hey hey, Capitalists! 👋

We ran a Quality of Life suggestions thread a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to jump in and give an update for all of you on what our key takeaways are regarding the QOL changes you brought up!

Flow
- When selecting a Badge/Suit, go to the last menu that was open when going back, rather than exiting the equipment screen entirely.

We are planning on addressing this screen more thoroughly and this change is part of the overall plan.

Animations
- Option to disable/skip animations or speed up animations
- Timewarp animations
- Upgrade animations

We will likely look at the option to speed up animations similar to AdCom. Adding to the list of QOL updates.

Gameplay/UI
- Angels/Angel Upgrades and repetition of purchase

We are looking to retouch how the Angel system works, primarily via making it less repetitive to constantly re-buy the same upgrades over and over

• Minimum # of Vault Keys rewarded by minigames

You should always be getting keys so long as your score is above zero. With that said, if any of you are not receiving keys with a score greater than zero, that could be a bug that we will address.

Miscellaneous
- Separate audio sliders (Music/SFX)
- Allows player to listen to their own music when playing and still hear the game

This is a good suggestion, adding this to the list of QOL updates.

• Framerate changes (raising the currently existing 30fps cap on most of the game)

This is something we are interested in looking into. Although we cannot promise changes immediately, as there could be unknown knock-on issues. We'll let you know more as we investigate the issue and get to the root of the 30fps lock.

Hello to all our new Capitalists!

We've got a big influx of new members today, so I thought I'd write a little rundown on how to get started here on the server!

First, you want to pick up some #✨-roles! The Capitalist/Anti-Capitalist roles will give you access to the majority of the server, and from there you can get to yapping!

We've got the #🏅-event-chat and #🌎🏝️-planets-and-destinations channels for those of you who love - you guessed it - events and destinations respectively! Want to talk strategy? Maybe you've hit a tough spot and are looking for some efficiency advice? Those are the channels to jump into!

Wanna' brag about conquering each and every planet/destination? Drop some screenshots of your accomplishment in the #🏆-victory-lap channel with your username on top and you can pick up the @Contractor role and flex on the competition!

It's been a heck of a year... 🥂

I know it isn't New Years yet, and I haven't even been here for a whole year, but I wanted to thank each and every one of you for the incredible welcome I had just a short while ago and look back on this year in AdVenture Capitalist!

We've seen some really big updates, from new events and destinations, to mini-games and more - and 2026 is looking to be one heck of a year as well! I'm beyond excited to be with you all as Cap continues to grow and change.
