How it works

• Pledge XBG. You commit to holding it, not to sending it anywhere. You can pledge your staked XBG counts too.
• Activate your pledge with any one of these: buy a PROPR challenge this season, keep FanBase Pro active, hold a Prometheus NFT, or appear on the Community App leaderboard with the wallet bound to the community app.
• Points are counted once a day, based on your pledged amount times your multiplier.
• Boosts raise your multiplier, so they raise your share of the pool.

XBG Reward Program

Season 19 starts on 1 September. You take part the same way as before, by committing to hold a certain amount of XBG in your wallet.

Here is what changes:

• New link: https://www.xborg.com/earn
• Eligibility for the one million XBG distributed monthly now requires either a PROPR challenge purchase or a FanBase Pro subscription. You can still enter the program without one, and you have until the end of the season to become eligible.
• Multipliers stay the same for now.

PROPR Staking Campaign

If you staked XBG to earn PROPR, your final estimated allocation is now visible at https://www.xborg.com/earn. You can unstake once the lock period ends.

One important note. Stakers are no longer auto-enrolled in the XBG Reward Program. Your staked XBG can still be used to take part each season, but you now need to go to the portal, pledge those tokens yourself, and confirm your eligibility.

Some of you may have seen that we've started making long overdue updates to the website. We found the chat-like experience a fun and different approach, and easier to maintain. At the end of it we'll add an AI with up-to-date info about XBorg to answer follow-up questions. *We might even gate this to XBG holders 👀

Next, we're planning to merge xbg.xborg.com and xborg.com/staking to give holders a better experience on our XBG reward programme.

A few other updates:

• For our fan applications, the team is working on a strategic revamp of our APIs so we can build an MCP and a CLI on top. In plain English: we want a team like Team Liquid to be able to launch quests, battle passes or lootboxes just using Claude, and anyone else to vibe-code their own fan apps. This means two things. If anyone can build on our infrastructure with zero involvement from us, we can run a far more aggressive pricing strategy and rely less on enterprise deals that take months to close. And we can still sell fully custom apps to enterprises ourselves, which become much easier to maintain internally.

• For FanBase, we're doubling down on the MCP. The team has been building some very cool things with it (head to #💬︱copilot-discussions to see my weekend experiment). We believe this will help a lot with go-to-market. I'll share a more comprehensive update on this separately.

• Finally, if you're after Propr updates, check out Lou's daily streams or head over to the Propr Discord. Product updates also land on the XBorg changelog.

As Louis mentioned in another channel, we're also carefully monitoring market momentum and will, in due time, share more on our plans to bring momentum back to XBG. We've been quieter on that front given how still the market has been, but work is actively underway.

FanBase's MCP is going live soon, and it's working great!

For context, we're doing this as a growth experiment, because this enables us to list FanBase as an app on the ChatGPT app store. But it's also a feature that some users asked for, and this is a feature we hope will attract a cohort of more AI-native brands/creators.

For now, the MCP is mostly linked to the CRM data available within FanBase, allowing you to better understand how your audience engages with you across socials. It's also linked to your fan app if you have one, so teams like G2, Vitality, TL etc... will be able to get both their fan app data + social engagement data directly accessible via this MCP.

Next, we will look at adding more features to allow (for example) users to write posts directly within ChatGPT and Claude Code, and publish it across all socials via our MCP.

Some quick updates on what I shared last week.

• Shopify integration is currently being tested in staging. We have no visibility on how long the approval process will take, but we're getting ready to start the outreach once FanBase gets listed on the Shopify App Store.
• FanBase's MCP is also being tested (see the screenshot attached). In full transparency, that's a growth experiment with no guarantee this will be a valid funnel for user acquisition, but it's worth a try. Our assumption is that 1) listing FanBase has an app will help ChatGPT index our app and promote it (e.g. to people asking for DM automation solution as an example), and 2) it's also a feature some early-adopters requested.

We're looking at next Tuesday for the release of FanBase's improved website, paired with the release of the video Louis ~~teased~~ leaked above 👀
