Hi everyone! :cherry_blossom: As our community grows, we want to make sure that Cottage Crew (Thunder, Yumi and Meg), Guardian of the Grove (Cam) and turanga can still spend time hanging out and playing the game with all of you without getting overwhelmed.

To keep things organized and ensure no one’s issues get lost in the shuffle, we need to set a firm boundary on how support is handled. The team is officially "off the clock" for support requests when we're hanging out in game or in chat channels.

Hello Wisterwildlings!! Happy Hump Day!! 🐪

Along with the chunk trim yesterday, I updated lots of stuff on the back end! The chest shops were one of them.

With that update it removed the preview image of each chest shop so now they tell buyers "this chest is not set up."

Your stuff is safe, just needs the preview replaced.

Please take a moment to re-add the preview:
- click your chest shop
- drag your item to the pic of the barrier block
- done!

Your chests won't work for buyers until they're added so please set up as soon as you're able to 💜

Our server offers a safe haven for all players. Whether you play on a NASA computer or a potato phone, we want to make sure all our Friends can comfortably participate in everything we have to offer - and it takes a village!

Here’s a quick refresher on how we can all help keep the server running smooth as butter 🧈

🐾 Entity & Floating Item Culler
- Our LagLimiter clears excess mobs and floating items every few minutes.
- Anything nametagged will not be removed — nametag what you love!
- Lost items can be recovered with /abyss for up to 45 seconds after a lag clear.

⚡ Redstone & Farms
- Large redstone devices can cause major lag.
- If your contraption stops working, try:
- Spacing farms at least 4 chunks apart
- Reducing hopper chains (use water/ice instead!)
- Limiting signs & item frames to essentials
- Make sure every farm has an on/off switch or a way to disable it so it's not running non stop.
- Use barrels instead of chests wherever possible. Limit storage to only what you actually need! There's no reason to have hundreds of storage containers for all in game items. Condense.

🌾 Bonus Tips
- Keep mob counts reasonable in each area.
- Avoid massive particle effects or constant redstone loops.

Last year, Wisterwild started with no members. Just an idea, a vision, and a lot of hope to create a safe space for others, who shared like minded values. Today, we’re sitting just shy of 1,000 members, and that still doesn’t feel real to say.

I want to give a huge, heartfelt thank you to our Cottage Crew. Your endless time, energy, and love poured into this server does not go unnoticed. You help keep Wisterwild running, welcoming, and warm, even on the days when things are hectic behind the scenes.

A very special thank you to Turanga, for all the work most people never see. The backend fixes, plugin troubleshooting, scripts being made, problems being solved quietly and efficiently, and everything that helps the server run smoothly day after day. Wisterwild genuinely wouldn’t function the way it does without you.

There is something we wanted to make an announcement and talk to you all about (or, at least those who have used these channels).

After thought and discussion, we have decided to remove the public venting channels/forums. The aim of that channel was so it could be a place for people to let their thoughts and feelings out.

We have made the choice to remove the channels for the moment due to the fact we are in no way trained professionals and some of the vents were getting a bit too heavy. Ontop of this, we noticed only some vents being replied too or reacted too. We did not want users to fell less than, or feel their vent wasnt important or valid due to this. 🩵

We HIGHLY encourage you to seek out professional medical attention if you feel you need help. We care about all of you deeply.

• Note - I have to manually remove myself every time I reload the scoreboard when I capture top 10 players as I do not count, it won't seem to permanently remove me so I kept refreshing to get the pics. My totals do not count. Final captures will have my own totals removed. Inactive players will also be removed from the scoreboards - inactive means "last seen" date is 30+ days from last login. Alt accounts also do not count on the scoreboard, only main accounts. All scoreboards, except for Balance and XP, will be reset when Season 2 launches.
