First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to share this with us, and thank you to everyone who continues to put their passion into the OpenFront clan community. It's the dedication and engagement from players like you that make OpenFront what it is, and we genuinely appreciate it.
Clans are a huge part of what makes OpenFront special. Some of our largest communities โ UN, CYN, Molky, PL, FR, and others โ have grown into so much more than just clans. They're real communities, and that's something we want to protect and celebrate as we continue to grow.
We hear the concerns being raised about the impact larger clans may have on the leaderboards, and we want you to know this hasn't gone unnoticed. Leaderboard fairness has been a focal point of our internal planning and discussions around the future of clans for some time now.
As part of our wider clans rework, the second phase will introduce seasons to OpenFront clans. Under this system, only the top 100 players from each clan will count toward leaderboard standings, regardless of total clan size. This means clans will be measured on the performance of their most active and competitive members rather than sheer headcount, opening the door for skill and effort to genuinely shine through, no matter the size of the clan you represent.
We won't be implementing a hard member cap, as we don't want to break up the communities that have been built around larger clans, but we're confident the seasonal top-100 system will deliver the competitive balance you're asking for while preserving what makes these communities great.
