Online Safety and protecting your identity
The safety of our members and their identities are one of our top priorities within this server.
Recent events have proven that even those we trust and see as friends might not be who they say they are.
Given this recent learning experience for all of us I would like to put out this statement giving some tips on how to keep yourself and your identity safe when interacting with strangers online.

DO NOT give out personal information such as:

⚫ emails
⚫ your location
⚫ passwords
⚫ external socials (if you don't know the person) -
DO NOT give people your face, videos of yourself or anything they can use to be you online

DO reach out to @.----Staff----. either privately or via a ticket in #🆘-distress-signal and talk to us about it with evidence to back your case up.

If a member seems suspicious or acts weirdly reach out to us we will never make fun of you, disregard your concerns or push you to the side. Every report gets taken seriously and is listened to and discussed privately by staff.
YOU are what make this server special and your overall safety is our top priority, we care about our members new and old and want this space to be safe and comfortable for everyone.
Going forward staff will be more vigilant and attentive to the ongoings within the server so unfortunately this does mean we will have to enforce our rules more effectively.
