Glimmora + Froslass Team Help Thread

Summary

In Pokémon Champions a member requests teambuilding help for a team centered on mega Froslass and mega Glimmora. The announcement covers shared steel and ground weaknesses and proposes partners like Orthworm, Garchomp, Primarina, and Meowscarada plus a simple role checklist to refine the core.

Alright. First step is to counter common weaknesses- both Froslass and Glimmora share a steel weakness, and glimmora has a bad ground type one, so something to handle that; Orthworm, it can be used to shed-tail into either mega or another sweeper. Garchomp as a partner too, for healing earthquakes and to handle the fire types. For the other pair of pokemon, we can't get in a full fwg core but we can complete the fantasy core and add some utility; primarina and meowscarada. Another strong special and physical attacker, with the ability to use the swamp pledge and slow the opponents mons to a crawl.

This is all off the top of my head, there are likely optimisations to be made and i haven't thought through sets or anything, but it should serve as a rough guideline.

  1. Choose a supporting mon (incin/whims etc)
  2. Add a backup mon (Basc etc)
  3. Add a coverage mon (sneasler/meowscarada, etc)
  4. Free choice/anti-meta (aerodactyl)
Just some examples of possible mons and what roles you need
