Mega Aggron Team Help: TR Pelipper Fire Matchups

Hi all, I am back again with the aggron team, it struggles when not getting TR up and against spread fire spammers. Are there improvements I don’t see maybe some switches I need to make?

One thing I am considering is to switch to pelipper for my weather mon
What issue are you having?
Yeah I like pelipper to help against the fire MUs here
Mainly fire teams (heat wave one shots) and the tempo that isn’t there when TR isnt up. Leading farig and incin doesnt make it so that farig can survive hits and get up TR. leading farig with sinistcha almost always get sinistcha killed, leaving no healing later on
Which I encounter all the time, often paired with sneasler. So I have to protect first turn, and parting shot basc. Then second turn if I have it, I bring sinistcha to redirect. That’s when I do get the TR up. If I don’t have sinistcha in the back I will guaranteed get double teamed next turn cause I can’t protect again, so I have to swap if I don’t want the giraffe to die. Nothing tanks a wave crash close combat though
Run klefki ♥️ rain dance klefki
The biggest issue is either basculegion/pelipper or any of the fire types spamming heat wave
It can also run sunny day ♥️
Sneasler is on the team for when I don’t get TR up
If you are struggling to get it up use a prankster maybe?

It is useless outside of one specific thing
Roar and dragon tail force switching your setter out
Then it beats it and lays tr before it can get the boot
So based on speed tork is still a big threat
I don't see it often but I have seen roar used in ultra

Welp, since the incin farig doesnt work i lead aggron farig. Protect farig and either iron defense or heavy slam one of the opponents
If aggron doesnt get targeted, even without TR against physical teams he sweeps

So far, rotom, hatterene, gambit and crab might make the team for some trials then
Not that often when against heat wave spammers or sun, otherwise quite often. Mainly go aggron, tea, incin and giraf
It just feels like it would benefit from being played a hair faster to me

the slowking is real bulky
So far tested the crab team, trying to get the hang of it. Gambit makes a big change into basc that is great. And slowking is so tanky that he can guarantee trick room… for now at least

Zard chomp haven't been seeing much play against me yet. Would say same lead, but with giraffe depending on full team, as incin can fake out one, and drop attack on chomp. Chomps first EQ won't do too much on incin.
From that point TR should be up again, although in a match like that I might take both TR users, as they have decent damage output as well. However, then I do not want to see dark types XD

Struggles: milotic, torkoal, physical defense could be a struggle but has many ways around it
Testing solutions: bellibolt or sinistcha instead of Farigiraf, as it doesn't get taken often, as Slowking pair better with crab, and he is the main mega atm

you shouldnt have double swapped under tr with ninja and sneas keep gambit to pressure and pivot after you apply it. double swaps should be kept to a minimum if you have momentum

Ok, so basically, turn 1, start with Slowking and Gambit. You can either protect Gambit or hit with Iron Head if you think Aerodactyl will Rock Slide. Don’t use Trick Room yet, unless you know the opponent will waste moves. Turn 2, set Trick Room with Slowking, then attack with Gambit. If unsure, just Protect. Turn 3 and after, just keep Trick Room running, let your slow guys, Crab, Prim, Gambit, hit stuff. Crab comes in after Gambit has dealt with threats, mega evolve it only when you can safely hit, don’t do it too early.
