saw a trick room mega blastoise team and wanted to try it out but don't have chandelure (for taunt) so i wanted to replace it with zoroark for fun and whimsy.

replacing it is hard since i don't really know what I'm doing. from what i played, zoroark won't do as much damage as chandelure and lack a stab fire spread move and a grass coverage.

i also added mega mawile as a secondary mode in teams where blastoise isn't as good and also basculegion as an outside trick room sweeper since i don't have protect on most of my mons.

zoroark is trained to outspeed other trick room, taunt and imprison user to have taunt prio (like farig, tsareena, sinistcha). icy wind can be handy outside of trick room against mons with similar speed. this mon just lacks damage sadly.

so I'd like to ask, are there any mons i can add/replace as a flex seal for more coverage without replacing blastoise and zoroark if possible. but if not, I'd like to know what other mons would be really good. also if there's any moves i should replace here.

Zoroak is a very mind gamey Pokémon so you want to make sure you are using it in that way to confuse and get your opponent in a bad spot.

ah right now, the zoroark is doing really well, I've played some game where the opponent just doesn't expect it and i can hide it as either blastoise and farig, the only thing I'm unsure of right now is the speed

also yea, I'll replace the rock slide, tysm! I'll try it out

Speed will kind of have to be figured out as you test it out. Youll find out what you need it to outspeed and cut into and have to adjust it from there. Some of the toughest choices I’ve had to make are deciding if I need to be able to out speed a choice scarfed mon with my own scarf, or if I can keep the speed lower and just use tail wind. Speed also plays a part with your trick room mode. I imagine you want your Zoroak to be able to function inside trick room some and so speed will be tricky unfortunately.

If you end up deciding you need the rock slide you can always go back, but in my experience with Mawhile I have just always wanted and needed the steel stab move.

yes, this speed is enough to taunt every un-fakeout-able mon that can prevent my trick room (or to prevent a trick room on a hard trick room team). the thing i need to figure out is the icy wind, which pokemon do i need to outspeed so after icy wind my blastoise can out speed them, so i should probably be faster than 1.5x speed of my blastoise, or maybe i should bank on getting 2 icy wind because of my sash

also for rock slide, it was from another trick room team that doesn't have answer to zard but with blastoise and basc it should be better to run metal like you said

zoroark is funny to use with farig cause people always try to call my bluff and fake out my blastoise under armor tail lol
