I need help with building a pokemon team for doubles!
I want to build a team around pika but I’m not sure who to pair him with or his stats to set
Idk where to start I’m so ass at team building

Makes Pikachu a glass cannon

Lead into rain cores
Otherwise, you use fake out and volt switch under tailwind, and wait for a better matchup, or fake out for second Mon to set up and tbolt or electroweb and hope they give you another turn to volt switch
Pika currently doesn't fit that great into the current Mon lineup
If you're going yard sun you want more than yard that benefits. Ninetales snow doesn't help here pika doesn't help win your weather war just helps trade at least one electro weak Mon and then you're down
Gyarados doesn't sit great in yard sun either
If you want to run pika with yard you need to build more around sun and let pika deal with the threats to it
So something maybe like yard Venusaur Aerodactyl garchomp kingambit Pikachu would do just fine
Maybe even drop venu for sylveon

Yard is built to still hit hard but survive a rock slide from aero
Sylveon is built the same style but for dire claw sneasler
Kingambit is built to survive cc
Pikachu is built for what was listed
Aerodactyl is built for max dmg rock slide and to set tw
Garchomp is built to take at least one of most of it's threats
