Using the pokemon i was able to scrounge up from the recruit ranch and what I coould transfer in, this is the initial team I was able to put to together. I could use some advice on if this is a good team. I honestly don't know if there is some changes that need to be made or not

You can start learning with these six; I’d fix a couple of move interactions before replacing your recruits. Manectric’s Discharge hits its partner too, which is especially dangerous beside Gyarados. Mega Sceptile can absorb its own Discharge hit with Lightning Rod, but that doesn’t make Discharge safe beside everyone else.

I’d try Protect over Earthquake on Gyarados and Protect over Confuse Ray on Typhlosion. That gives you more ways to survive a double target while keeping Dragon Dance and the Will-O-Wisp/Infernal Parade idea. Earthquake currently threatens most of your own partners as well. Finally, pick Lucario or Sceptile as the Mega for each matchup—you can carry both stones, but can’t activate both in one battle.
