Team Help Request: Improve VGC Team

hi guys I really need help to improve/change my team because right now i get destroyed against anything like i always have a big weakness idk why (maybe skill issue lol but if skill issue at least i know i can just spam that team unless i get good with it) https://pokepast.es/27cfa03e59d8cf5d
if possible i want to keep grimmsnarl and metagross, but i think one of the main problems of my team is that i don't have any good special attackers
3 of the new megas have intimidate in their base form

I think you need something against intimidate
I think milotic could work well here, also you probably want at least one special attacker
That’s why I had mammoswine but it’s clearly not enough
yeah mamo is solid but they can still drop your partners attack
Also I’m really struggling against pokemons like kingambit, annihilape or staraptor because of their ability
So I also thought about removing scrafty from the team but idk what else to put instead
you could go mega floette, strong special moves that are pretty good into those 3
or sylveon
What’s the main difference between these 2
(Besides 1 being mega I guess)
yeah sylveon is basically just mega floette but weaker
I would go sylveon tho cause you can actually use it with metagross
do you bring talonflame a lot?

For the tailwind mostly
I thought it would be able to do something after but it is usually a dead pokemon after using tailwind
you could replace mamoswine with milotic, that also frees up the focus sash to put on talonflame
Why would you run detect over protect ?
And I keep scrafty ?
when people use imprison against you detect wont get taken away
I would use sylveon instead

nah I think you have six, swapping mamoswine and scrafty for milotic and sylveon
you could replace grimmsnarl tho depending on how often you bring it
so i have 2 water type mons ?
a lot of teams stack typings
and you don't have to bring both to a game

I chose coil milotic because it can set up using grimmsnarls screens
I will have to check milotic’s set because I don’t know half of the attacks lol

yeah i've forfeit so many times to milotic lol
it's usually not worth taking it unless there is intimidate mons/ grimmsnarl or i can bring it against a slow team where i would have time to setup
makes sense it doesn't really do damage if it doesn't get intimidated
I don’t really use talonflame now with this version of the team
