Summary
The Pokémon Champions | VGC Battles & Tournaments community is actively discussing competitive team building, specifically focusing on optimizing snow-based squads. This thread covers strategic advice on replacing Hisuian Zoroark, managing difficult matchups against rain teams, and addressing weaknesses to Dark-type threats. Members share insights on effective leads and potential synergy improvements to help players climb the Masterball ranks.
This is a snow team I've been working with. I had a lot of trouble with Sableye rain teams, so I put on Zoroark for a fast manual snow setter. I've not been bringing it too much, so I was wondering if there was a better choice. I would choose Alolan Ninetales but I'm not sure because I don't want to make my Steel matchup worse.
I usually lead Kangaskhan and Aerodactyl with Froslass and Sneasler or Garchomp in the back. I feel like I might need a lead that can swap with Aero.
I've not struggled too much, but I lost really badly to a choice scarf Hydreigon that outsped my whole team after my tailwind ran out, so I probably need to address Dark types more (I suck at keeping Sneasler alive (also for Sneasler, I'm open to switch Upper Hand to Fake Out, but I kind of need it for Gambit Sucker Punch)).

I like Rotom frost. Second blizzard spammer electric coverage for water type's and a levitator for garchomp to spam eq next to
This was one of my first ever teams in champions and it took me to around masterball 2 back then

Also if you need more damage on kanga if go with lifeorb
Now if only that was easy to get... lol
Hahaha yeah perks of having e everything already 😂.
If you have electric or ice affinity tickets don't forget they can help target the mon you want.
Other rotom forms like wash or heat can work if you already have them.
A-ninetales or glaceon can do the blizzard spam but they dont cover all the other things I mentioned
Milotic is a good defensive mon who can either run life dew set like mine or coil + hypnosis.
You buff defence and accuracy with coil then get accurate Muddy Water so spread water move and accurate hypnosis
It would be
Coil
Hypnosis
Muddy Water
Icebeam/life dew/blizzard even
Blaz would be good

This team is going around atm we can adapt it to your team very easy
When I first built the team I was gonna use Rotom-Frost and used my tickets (2 for each) and didn't get it lol
First snow team so not many of those unfortunately
I like Milotic cause I think I need bulk, but I'm not sure how well it fits cuz of it's speed, but could def work
Blaziken is cool but how do u play it on a snow team?
Can run icy wind on milo too
With blaz if hes mega obviously there wouldnt be snow support.
But a life orb speed boost variant would work.
Basically just protect turn one for a free speed boost and set could look like this.
Blaziken @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
Level: 50
EVs: 32 Atk / 2 Def / 32 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Rock Slide
- Protect
- Close Combat
Blaziken is designed to hit hard and fast but go down fast
