On lookin4tmnt we have disabled direct messages as a security measure to prevent scammers from sending malicious links. Members can DM after sending a friend request; never accept requests from people you do not know. Tag a member in #🗨general or report suspicious behavior in #🚨turtle-trap🚨 and moderators will investigate. This protects the community while preserving normal server use.
As an added security measure i have disabled DM's for the server. This will help prevent scammers from direct messaging our members with scam links. If you want to DM a member, send them a friend request first, once you are friends youll be able to DM. That said never accept a friend request from someone you do not know. Always feel free to tag a member in #🗨general and ask why they sent a friend request, if they do not answer it was likely a scam. If they do answer with something shady notify me immediately or use the report button in #🚨turtle-trap🚨 and the mods or myself will handle the issue. Once again this shouldn't affect your experience here in the server but this measure will further protect everyone from scams and scammers.
