Greed is taking over the world.

Billionaires pay taxes. Just say you want them to pay more and explain how you’d do that

ironriver-71 OP

Every heard of stock and shares and borrowing instead of selling

quickbadger-36

I mean. You can always be a billionaire and do it yourself

quickbadger-36

:pepetea:

quickbadger-36

And also greed isn't that bad

i'm not talking abt all the billionaires r like this but imo maybe there's a time when a billionaire isn't realizing that they're a billionaire n they think that's how life is supposed to be cz their circles r just like that, they might think they have already given some of it but didn't know if the allocation gets stuck, or they might simply didn't know that the shade could be that low, they used to think if working hard comes with another pay off n not simply cover the basic lifestyle

I have only ever personally known 1 billionaire and he literally set up philanthropic organizations to give his money away. However he is flashy so you probably never heard of him. People only hear of the loud and flashy rich people. Rich people are just like regular people… some are super shitty and some are wonderful. But also if you want to “tax the rich” it needs to extend globally. Their money will either be tied up in assets as to not be taxed, or in overseas accounts. Taxing the rich at an exorbitant rate would never actually work unless every country agreed globally. That is the issue darlin.

happycactus-77

That doesn’t mean billionaires don’t pay taxes 😂

happycactus-77

Doesn’t elon musk literally have the highest paid individual tax bill in US history

happycactus-77

Literally the biggest individual tax bill paid in US history was paid by elon musk so you are just wrong about this 😭😭

happycactus-77

They still pay taxes 🤦🏽‍♂️ Where are yall hearing this shi from

happycactus-77

So they do or they don’t?

@happycactus-77 Literally the biggest individual tax bill paid in US history was paid by elon musk so you are just…
ironriver-71 OP

That was in 2021 btw

happycactus-77

Yeah because that’s when he sold a lot of his shares so he can buy twitter

ironriver-71 OP

It was only because he exercised a huge amount of tesla stock

happycactus-77

Yes and he still has paid a lot of taxes since then

happycactus-77

Just not as much as 2021 because he sold a lot of it

happycactus-77

So the idea that they don’t pay taxes is just wrong when they pay the most. If you want them to pay more then say that and make the argument for that

ironriver-71 OP

And also im not just talking about Elon

swiftcopper-30

yeah so should we make porsche cheaper for poor and 100x more for a billionaire?

@ironriver-71 And also im not just talking about Elon
happycactus-77

Elon was just an example to disprove the claim

@ironriver-71 And also im not just talking about Elon
happycactus-77

Even as a statistic, the top 1% pay more in taxes than the bottom 90% do

@happycactus-77 Even as a statistic, the top 1% pay more in taxes than the bottom 90% do
swiftcopper-30

true

swiftcopper-30

they are the main reason economics grow faster

quickbadger-36
