@niftyzenith-49 Depends on what its about.
nobleriver-83 OP

Elaborate

niftyzenith-49

Sadness from grief is straight painful. Its horrendous

niftyzenith-49

And i havent even experienced the grief of someone close to me dying.

niftyzenith-49

Theyll tell u tho.

niftyzenith-49

Feeling nothing is no fun dont get me wrong but its definitely not the worst feeling out there.

@nobleriver-83 Bc feeling nothing is worse
grandquiver-69

I've felt both, being sad isn't a privilege since it makes it sound like smth good

niftyzenith-49

Inconsolable despair is way worse than apathy.

@grandquiver-69 I've felt both, being sad isn't a privilege since it makes it sound like smth good
niftyzenith-49

True.

@niftyzenith-49 Inconsolable despair is way worse than apathy.
grandquiver-69

Yh it is

grandquiver-69

For apathy there is nothing there so nothing to feel

niftyzenith-49

Apathy sucks but its relatively comfortable usually. But strong sadness? That physically hurts. I feel it in my chest

grandquiver-69

Yh exactly, sometimes it can hurt even since it's such a strong feeling at times

niftyzenith-49

Fax

niftyzenith-49

Apathy only seems bad if uve never had worse. Just inexperience.

grandquiver-69

Yep

grandquiver-69

Also intense sadness can be seriously emotionally draining, sometimes it even leads to apathy depending on how tired out u may be

niftyzenith-49

100%. I always become more apathetic after having strong emotions.

niftyzenith-49

Strong anger with no outlet is also terrible if u have a real reason to be angry

grandquiver-69

Yep same, imo it's better feeling nothing

@niftyzenith-49 Strong anger with no outlet is also terrible if u have a real reason to be angry
grandquiver-69

Yh true

niftyzenith-49

Well its been settled i guess.

happycopper-20

IT IS A PRIVILEGE!!!

happycopper-20

Bro in this industry? You being sad for a certain amount of time will lose so many things

happycopper-20

opportunity, money, sanity.

niftyzenith-49

Everybody gets sad when they experience hardship. That doesnt mean they stop having responsibilities when it happens

@happycopper-20 Bro in this industry? You being sad for a certain amount of time will lose so many things
niftyzenith-49

Also what industry?

@niftyzenith-49 Also what industry?
happycopper-20

Nothing specific, just in general

@niftyzenith-49 Everybody gets sad when they experience hardship. That doesnt mean they stop having responsibilitie…
happycopper-20

I get that we felt emotions and we can't stop or control it.. But some can't afford to stay sad for a long time cause they have work, mouth to feed, things to do

niftyzenith-49

Well sure if u assume that sadness means the person stops functioning. That happens sometimes but definitely not all the time

happycopper-20

Feeling sad can affect your work tho. It can mess things up if your not gonna carry yourself properly

niftyzenith-49

Yea true. I still dont understand how that makes it a privilege tho

niftyzenith-49

U cant magic ur way out of sadness. U can punch it down and push through ur work. But that doesnt make it go away

@niftyzenith-49 Yea true. I still dont understand how that makes it a privilege tho
happycopper-20

It became a privilege cause you don't have don't have the time end energy to assess your emotion properly.

niftyzenith-49

what?

happycopper-20

I'm not good with my words so please bear with me.

happycopper-20

When a person was so busy cause of work preassure or something, they have no time to process the sadness they felt

happycopper-20

so eventually they will bury it down and continue their lives

niftyzenith-49

well sure

niftyzenith-49

but even without processing the emotion, its still there. theyre still sad.

happycopper-20

they might felt sadness but will will never have the closure to that feeling.

niftyzenith-49

i mean there isnt closure to a lot of feelings tbh

niftyzenith-49

they just fade with time in a lot of cases

@niftyzenith-49 i mean there isnt closure to a lot of feelings tbh
happycopper-20

but privilege folks have tho. They have time to process their emotions, have time to destressing , they won't feel like they're "wasting time" worrying about soemthing so trival

niftyzenith-49

Thats true, but then were no longer talking about sadness itself being a privilege

niftyzenith-49

Also ur english is very good if u were born in asia

niftyzenith-49

Nice job

niftyzenith-49

Most americans barely speak english themselves lol

@niftyzenith-49 Also ur english is very good if u were born in asia
happycopper-20

Thanks, my mom was so jelous to our neighbor, she enrolled me to english class back then

niftyzenith-49

Sadness itself cant be a privilege. The context surrounding it could be tho.

@niftyzenith-49 Sadness itself cant be a privilege. The context surrounding it could be tho.
