Summary
On CommunityOne Builders Help a user could not access the server dashboard despite admin permissions. The announcement explains the cause was role hierarchy parity with the bot role and shows the fix of assigning a higher role. This clarifies permission checks and helps the community avoid similar dashboard access problems.
title says it all
aight got it
you sayin a bot might be stopping me?
ill have to check
That might not be the case but let's check.
BTW in the role hierarchy, your role is higher than the CommunityOne role, right?
Also, drop your server ID here for referrence
1359782568693727324 this is my server ID
uuh as for role hierarchy
we have the same role
infact i told them to give the bot role admin perms which is on the same level as communityone technically
could that be the issue?
Try a separate role and see if you could access the dashboard.
alright ill update you tomorrow cuz the speed team doesnt work today and i cant do much about it
No worries. We'll be here tomorrow
so I just checked our backend with ur info and the server info. u should absolutely have access to the server dashboard...
we see that u have admin right
if u dont, please let me know and i can do some deep digging to see if there are any bugs
yes sorry I came back for an update

I tried with an even higher role and had access to the dashboard after
