Quick Announcement: The Spark Website Widget is OUT! 🚀

We are officially launching the Alpha version for our Premium customers! This is a major update, so here is a quick overview of what’s dropping:

🤖The Same AI Support Bot: Just paste two lines of code and the widget shows up on your site. It functions exactly the same way as Spark in Discord. You can set up custom agents, tweak the styling, and it pulls knowledge directly from your website or Discord.
📊 Deep Analytics & "Content Gaps": We are pushing out major checkout and website analytics. You'll know exactly what questions your users are asking and where they are getting confused. We'll also highlight questions people are asking that don't have documentation yet (we call this a "Content Gap"). More, we're giving you AI tools to automatically fill those gaps right on your webpage.

🆓 Update for Free Spark Users: We are expecting to launch a free version of the website widget, too! We're currently evaluating different AI models to make this sustainable to provide for free. You will also get access to similar analytics to see what your community is asking and what they want. More info on this in the future!

What’s next for Spark?
The next step is providing premium models for our premium customers. We're currently running internal testing to optimize these models and let you choose the best fit. We're doing the same testing for our free customers—we fully expect to support free communities with unlimited chat.

We are also pushing out the LLM Evaluation. If you don't know what that is, it’s simply a tool that lets you automatically see which AI model fits your specific community the best.

Finally, a few more updates in the pipeline:

🏷️ First, we will let you select a couple of tags and automatically generate a custom prompt.
📺 Second, we are actively working on a YouTube Channel Integration! Here is what you can expect:
If you own the videos, you can transcribe them at scale. Your transcripts will feed directly into Spark's knowledge base, so when people ask questions, we can direct them straight to your YouTube video for the answer. You can also auto-publish summarized versions of your videos with direct links. Really popular creators spend a ton of resources building out their own websites to do this—we are going to automate it for you.

Beyond Support: How Our Chat Widget Drives Growth

Spark is currently unstable due to Google outages, The bug is random, some servers can use Spark while others can't. We are working on a patch now.

updates: Spark is now back online. We've migrated the models to OpenAI right now. We are going to do more testing this week on what models to use for Spark, but here's a quick overview

• Free servers will end up using a new model. We will do additional testing, and more announcements will come about on which models we end up using.

What we've shipped:

🛡️ Safe-Gate for Server Listing
You can now safe-gate your community on our server listing. When enabled, we require users to log in with their Discord account — and if they've been consistently banned across multiple servers, we'll hide your invite link from them. You'll also get comprehensive analytics on how many flagged users we're filtering out.

🎬 YouTube Integration
Drop in a YouTube link and we'll automatically convert it into a transcript. Coming soon on our Premium plan: select an entire playlist from a channel and enable automatic syncing. This feature was born from a suggestion by one of our Premium communities — and honestly, it's something we've wanted to build for a while.

Focus for this week:

This week we've been heads-down on backend improvements — building out better internal tooling to handle issues faster and level up our customer support.

Here's some additional upcoming features:

• YouTube Channel Syncing — Full channel-level support with automatic, scheduled syncing for both websites and YouTube, so your content stays up to date without lifting a finger.
• Server Listing Tags — Once our backend upgrades are in place, we're turning our attention back to server listing. The focus: smart tags for community servers. We've already shipped a version for emojis where our algorithm automatically generates clusters of emoji types — we'll be applying that same algo to power the new server listing tags.

Quick update on progress we've made last week.

What We've Shipped
(1) We've made significant progress on the new Spark, including the addition of Agentic RAG capabilities. This means two exciting features are coming very soon:
- 📊 Content gap analytics to help you identify opportunities
- 🤖 Direct bot support — ask our bot any support question, anytime

(2) Our new listing algorithm is live — and we're already seeing 2x more engagement! Here's what you need to know:
- Fresh content gets rewarded — Communities with active content and engagement receive an extra boost. Make sure to enable Index Forum and Announcements to take advantage of this.
- New server guarantee — All new servers are guaranteed 200 views in the first 3 days, plus you'll receive a custom email with tips to improve your conversions.
- The algorithm now de-emphasizes over-reliance on basic server descriptions, so focus on meaningful content and activity.

Things that we are working in this week:
(1) Verified Community Program — We're introducing a verification system based on safety and security standards. Stay tuned for more details!
(2) In-Depth SEO Analytics — Deeper insights specifically tailored to everything SEO-related for your server.
(3) Smarter Tagging System — We're researching a better tagging experience so users can search in the way that feels most natural to them.
(4) Spark Model Evaluation — A new evaluation system is coming to Spark, allowing you to compare different AI models and choose what works best for your community.

hey guys! Some updates on what we've been shipping over the past weeks:

1. Server Emojis & Better Discovery We know how much custom emojis define a community, so we wanted to put them front and center. (1) Dedicated Emojis Page: Users can now preview, manage, and download custom Discord emojis directly from your server listings! (2) Faster, Compact UI: We completely redesigned the server listing page. It's now more compact and mobile-responsive, meaning new members see your actual server info way faster. (3) "What's New" Feed: Your server cards now feature a live community updates feed, highlighting your latest activities and trending topics right on the discovery page.

2. Technical SEO & Analytics Given the amount of traffic we have, we've been heavily focused on getting technical SEO right to help your servers rank better on search engines. (1) Advanced Indexing: We've integrated IndexNow, added proper structured data for emojis, and optimized canonical URLs (plus we cleaned up our sitemaps to reduce thin content). (2) Thread Tracking: Added view count tracking for your announcements and forum threads so you actually know what content is driving engagement.

3. New Programs & Crucial Fixes (1) We officially launched our Ambassador and Star Partnership programs (see the message above!)! You can check out the new landing pages directly in the sidebar. (2) Fixed several edge cases around invite link validation and expiration. We want to ensure that when a user clicks to join, they actually make it into your server without broken links.

4. We've pushed out a better version of Smart listening on Spark. Now you can expect Spark to be more intelligent on what and when to answer a member's questions.

🚧 What’s on the roadmap for the next few weeks?

(1) Agentic RAG for Spark: We’re upgrading Spark's AI to reduce hallucinations and keep answers strictly tied to your docs. We'll also provide "Content Gap" analytics, showing you what users are asking for that isn't in your documentation yet.
(2) Choose Your Own AI Model: You will soon be able to select your preferred premium models (Grok, Opus, etc.). We're also adding a feature that lets you A/B test different models with a Q&A list so you know exactly which AI works best for your community.
(3) After these two updates drop, we will be upgrading Spark's default premium model and introducing brand-new spam controls!

hey guys! Some updates on what we will be doing for the next couple weeks

1. We will focus on SEO and also more progress tracking about forums and annoucements. Given the amount of traffic that we have, we will focus on getting the technical SEO correct rather than focusing on search right now.

2. Our next big sprint will be everything around Spark. The goal is to make spark more fun and be the best support chatbot in the space (Discord or not). Here's some plans and specific features:
   (1) Agentic RAG. This means that our bot will retrieve information more accurately and also we can point out what users are asking but your knowledge doc doesn't have the information.
   (2) LLM Evaluation. For those who care about accuracy, we will automatically run LLM evaluation based on your custom prompt, so that you will see how different modals will answer your members questions automatically on the website.
   (3) For morre caual servers suign us just for fun, we will allow you to select tags and feels and we will generate custom promot automatically based on your selections.
   (4) Finally, i know for large server, spark can be spammy, we will implement a solution to control the amount of messages that a user can send in general chat.

One last thing that is in our discussion, applying Spark to ticket support. We haven't decided on the specification for this feature yet, but if you have any strong opinions, pleae reach out, would love to hear from you.

Very excited about this new round of Spark upgrade. For a long time, Spark has been a Discord central support chatbot and I think we have the best kind in this space.

Our goal after this around of upgrade is to make Spark the best chatbot and the best support bot in the general AI space, rather than just in Discord.

Hey ! Here's a recap of some of the new growth efforts we are pushing out:

Forum is officially out

You can go to your server listing page, click on "Edit," and set everything up. Here are some important notes:
1. Data privacy is priority #1. We do not publish anything without explicit consent from you (the server owner) and the author.
It is reversible. If at any point you don't want to share your messages, you can go to our dashboard and automatically reverse that decision.
2. SEO controls. If you are a company working on SEO, you can set up your own meta keywords and meta descriptions. Note that your Forum page and your Announcement page have separate meta descriptions based on your input.
3. Announcement Indexing. In addition to the Forum, we've also gone ahead and indexed high-quality announcement content. We’ve added custom meta titles and descriptions based on the announcement content so that if people are searching for those topics, they will find you.
4. Performance. We are working on a new backend version of the server listing to make it godspeed! But from a new user's perspective, the speed is already good! We refactored a lot of our old legacy code to make that happen. 🙂

The Next Big Thing: Search: Let people find you based on what you talk about.

We will spend the next couple of weeks working on better search. When a user searches for a particular intent—for example, "Fortnite"—we will not only surface Fortnite servers but also servers where people are talking about Fortnite. Users will see stats like: "x amount of people talked about Fortnite over the past week." This way, people can find servers with the right shared interests.

Traffic Update
Just a heads-up on the traffic side: we saw a 30% jump yesterday in the first 24 hours after pushing out the Forum feature!

hey guys! There's a fair amount of updates and things that we are working on this week

1. We are looking to update all of our AI models. This includes Spark, AI CM and Hype Engine. This include a backend upgrade on our infra and database.

A lot more is coming to Spark soon, including API service so that you can use it across platforms (such as your website) and a ticket support version of Spark.

1. We've worked out mechanism on how to get consent for your members to publish their content anouymously over the past week. We've also pushed mechanisms where you can delete all of your personal data on our website automatically. A couple more things that we are working on:
   (1) Getting retroactive consent for your most popular content.
   (2) SEO optimization for each threads. For SEO optimization, each threads will come with its own meta keywords, meta title and slugs. If you are not familar with any SEO practise, just know that we are doing a lot to make sure Google know what this piece of conversation is about and can properly indexed and searched.
   (3) Pagespeed. We've significantly revamped the backend for the server profile page so that it will load FAST.
   (4) New UI: You are going to see neew UI for your server detail page. In addition, for servers that do not have banners, we will allow you to upload your own banners.
   (5) One last thing, we've significantly upgrade how we index annoucements. More keywords associated with your profile means more chances of being discovered by Google.

Also one last thoughts, a lot of things that we are doing for the next couple months is to help you grow the right way by leveraging interesting conversations happening in your commmunities in a meaningul ways. Most servers using our bot belong to the "public community" category. If you are a privace, small, friends-only servers, please feel free to opt out on the server listing side.

here's a quick update on what's happening over the past week:

• We've translated most of the pages into French, Russian, German, Spanish and Portugees. The only page left to be translated is the server detail page, which we will work on after we revamp the UI.

• We are working on a POC for our forum feature. We are done with all the backend and currently work on the mechanism in getting the user's permissions.

• We are adding a premium version of server listing just for testing purpose. In addition, if you are an existing bot owner and are on our premium tier, you already got a boost in terms of visibilities.

Hey guys! Here's a quick update on what we will work on this week

1. We will work on the infrastructural to allow us to host different instances of the same bot. This means that in case we don't hear about in a week or two, we can consider other options.

2. There will be a version of our server listing that do not require bot install for now

3. We will add a waitlist to servers that want to install our bot while we wait to hear back from Discord for the next week.

4. This will be the last week where we offer nitro and steam raffle tickets. Monetary incentivization never lead to long term retention or high quality efforts. We will work on a new version of Hype Engine that focuses more on meaingful efforts within community.
