@News Ping
Hurricane Oscar (C4): The system is now interacting with a storm system to the north, which is pulling Oscar north, but this now complicates the intensity forecast. While the storm will definitely weaken since is in the colder waters generated by Lebron, the cold front to the north could slow the rate of weakening.
Wind Speed: 140 mph (225 kmh)
- @Land of Madness: Mt. Sinatobi has erupted yesterday and is still periodically expelling ash and small amounts of lava. See the new activity in #📬㆐mailbox .

@Mailbox Ping New Event Activity
Sorry for the extra ping today, but we have a new event. A volcano in the Land of Madness just erupted (see context in #🛰️㆐radar ), and we need to come up with names for the volcanoes surrounding it in #channel. Read the instructions there.
@Radar Ping
Hurricane Oscar (C4): The system has cleared out its eye and looks decent on satellite imagery, with rainbands to the north. However, the storm is now moving over colder waters produced by Hurricane Lebron from a week an a half earlier, and will begin weakening.
Mount Sinatobi: This volcano has erupted with a large black ash cloud rising above the rest. While this didn't do much damage to infrastructure, it's ash will cause toxic conditions over the next few days.
Will be released in the next broadcast.

@Mailbox Ping New Trivia Poll
Going to start trying to do these, it's just server lore. If you know, you know, otherwise use the website (link below) to get the answer. Or just guess if you want.
Hint: Go to our website, go to the Weather Archive tab, then 2026 Hurricane Season and find Hurricane Ian, and read through its history. Website link: https://sebwithaurasworld.vercel.app

@News Ping
Hurricane Oscar (C4): This system has weakened to a Category 4 as it went through an eyewall replacement cycle, and is now a very symmetrical annular hurricane barreling towards the Frazzertan Grasslands.
Wind Speed: 145 mph (233 kmh)
- @Frazzertan Grasslands: A large thunderstorm cluster has the ability to cause a tornado outbreak today or tommorow. Take shelter now.
