Build a Fast-Paced Pokémon VGC Team | Staraptor & Whimsicott

After my horrific failure with arce's baltimore team i now understand that im a failure who cant work with slow mons

Since staraptor is weak to psychic you probably need something to counter psy spam.
Either override terrain (with rillaboom/pincurchin) or have a fast dark attacker, or have an alternative mega that isn't as weak to psy spam

I think the rillaboom option is the easiest one to make work, but mega absol z could be a fun alternative mega to use against Psy

Staraptor with rilla is pretty common ig

Im looking to use prankster whims

Charm/moonblast, encore, tailwind, protect.

Just complete utility

Cc, Brave bird, Roost, Protect

Any idea what second mode you want?
Weather mode with char-Y or Tyranitar, or a rain mode with swampert or gollisopod?
Just fast special attacker with raichu-Y or garchomp z?

Probably just a fast Spatker

Then you'd probably round up the team either with gholdengo and H.arcanine or with incineroar+basculegion/milotic.

Strong Pokémon that provide the coverage that you need

But i sucked with ceru, and dengo was fine but slow for my liking too

Dengo is litteraly the fastest out of your non megas

And maybe you should use tailwind if you want speed

Or at least icy wind on milotic to debuff theirs

Yeah i use tailwind but comparatively to ladder mons

Dengo isnt that fast

Its more a bulky set

Overall i just sucked with it

So you'd prefer the incin+bascu mode?

So maybe i want to look into a charY team or a Incin Bascu team

char-Y as a fire type attacker would benefit from a fairy type attacker on the same team since they can cover pretty much anything.
Sylveon would be best, it may be slow but it packs a punch and can also learn priority move.
If you don't like that you could try unburden slurpuff

And since both your megas are flying, maybe you could benefit from a garchomp with earthquake as long as you don't have grassy terrain up when using it.

I think I prefer the raychu version though
