So I started my team building journey with a post about Staraptor. Then I went down a rabbit hole of Annihilape and made a post about that only for me to start using a Metagross, Blastoise, Trick room team. While playing it I really started to wish I had a tailwind Mon as well as weather control. Peli seemed like the perfect addition providing both. In play testing I was much better in weather but really struggled in Trick Room. I subbed out Basculegion for Araquanid and boy do I love that spider. Since it’s running Wide Guard I swapped Peli’s Wide Guard out for Helping Hand and it’s been great.

It might be more optimal to run Swampert instead of Metagross and some sort of other Mon instead of Hydreigon but so far I’ve been liking the team build. I also was thinking maybe Dragonite would just be better as Arch but Dnite is my OG and that multi scale is no joke.

I am sure there is some more optimal spreads I could be running if someone who is good with calcs would be willing to help. Any obvious 1-for-1 swaps to improve the cohesiveness would be welcomed too.

is there specific team/mon u r struggling with?

Honestly trick room is still pretty tough although I don’t have a lot of games with the new Araquanid addition over basc. I thought Quick Guard Hydreigon dark pulse would get some cheaky Giraffe kills but it’s been inconsistent.

I thought garchomp would be more scary but two Draco meteor mons and wide guard limit what he can do. I haven’t played a lot of Aero but he was who I was most worried about. Wide Guard and my water/electric moves have really been working.

My biggest wonder is if Sneasler could be replaced but I really like the CC for gambits and dire claw for fairies if I am not using Metagross
