when i see your pokepaste, the thing i notice are:
1. you have no fakeout pressure. i think u want to bring at least 1 fakeout mon.
2. if ur using focus sash on whims, u want to have 2hp/32spa/32spe. maxing HP is a waste of point if ur using sash. consider bring moonblast instead of encore 🤔
3. If u want your garchomp to hold sitrus, u want to invest a bit in bulk. 2HP chomp is too frail imo to use sitrus berry.
4. what if u bring rotom wash instead of gholdengo, it have better bulk, u can have volt switch to position your mon better, it also deal with staraptor and rain using electric type, also help you with sand matchup in general. Using wash also means you can EQ with chomp beside zard and wash rotom. if ur using gholdengo, i think its better to change EQ on chomp to stomping tantrum coz u cant safely EQ beside other than zard
5. if ur using rotom wash instead of gholdengo, u can give scarf to garchomp to deal with opposing zard

Yeah for Whim I think you're right, 4 support moves got me in some bad situations, wanted to keep the encore pressure on nasty plot Delphox mainly as it shreds my team, but it's not something that happened a lot, so imma go with Moonblast and 32 SpA as you said

Do you have a spread for Garchomp ? I've been looking for some spreads with bulk investments but haven't found one, thought it was just tanky enough with this haha

I thought about Rotom too, but it doesn't deal with Staraptor as much as Gholdengo tbf, as Staraptor can't boost on Gholdengo :/

Do you often bring whimsy staraptor and venu on the same team if so for what match ups?

Could also use giga drain on whimsy for swamperts when your not bringing venu

that way you always survive lifeorb max atk rockslide from garchomp, boosted gambit suckerpunch and still outspeed max speed 60 base speed pokemon such as sylveon or primarina and still deal huge damage with a modest ev bump stab sun boosted weatherball and heatwave

with that venu set you outspeed modest pelipper without sun
survive a jolly hurricane
optimized hp for lifeorb recoil and still deal tons of damage + helping hand

scarf garchomp outspeeds pretty much anything
with helping hand it can ohko pretty much anything it needs to ko, even without the lifeorb

with scarf helping hand you outspeed opposing garchomps and can ohko them with dragon claw
rockslide helping hand ohkos max hp max def chari Y
iron head ironhead ohkos bulky mega aero and bulky mega floette, which could otherwise threat you with icefang and strong fairy boosted attacks
and earthquake can easily win games with scarf stab helping hand next to charizard, who's immune to ground type moves

if you feel like you are struggling with no-max speed venusaur, feel free and run 129 speed, to outspeed jolly pelipper and max speed swampert (no speed nature)
