Mega Greninja Team Help and Defensive Tweaks

Summary

In Pokémon Champions this announcement requests help refining a Mega Greninja balance team featuring Altaria with Cotton Guard and Tailwind, Jolteon, Excadrill, Arcanine with Intimidate, and Gallade. The post asks for defensive substitutions, speed control beyond TWave, and anti-Dragon options like Ice Beam and Icy Wind to improve tournament results.

I really like Mega Greninja as a diverse attack idea.
Altaria is there to clap hands for their partner, and I can't help but keep Cotton Guard on it in case it runs into Rock types.
Jolteon is a legacy biased pick, and I feel like a fool for not giving it Quick Attack, and Shadow Ball is just there for when T-Bolt just isn't as effective. Good T-Wave speed, though.
Excadrill is one I'm overall happy with, and I don't really want to risk EQ for instances when Altaria's not on the field.
I kinda prefer base Arcanine because Rock-type gives me too many scares on 4x damage situations, and I like my Arcanine to have Intimidate.
Gallade is there to back up battles where Greninja is unfavored.

I like these particular 'mons, but I can tell my battles in last night's Champions tournament were lost due to character, and not having everything I needed to stand my ground. Need something a little more defensive, and should be trying to control speed with things that aren't T-Wave. Any other advice/talking to would be greatly appreciated, and if I have to make some substitutions to better suit certain roles, so be it.

Icy wind on greninja + tailwind on Altaria

I will admit I am trying to explore my anti-Dragon options as well. Right now, that's just Ice Beam.

Garchomp and dragonite are both x4 to ice
Even soft icy wine is going to chunk them nicely
