Scizor Team Feedback Request for VGC

Original Post

Hi guys! Only been playing vgc since season 1 week 2 of champions. Been trying to work on team building and would love some feedback on how to improve my scizor team, or if it is any good. Thoughts?

Thats the team atm

Scizzor does very well with friendguard mousehold

Reply

So maybe take lopunny out for mousehold?

Reply

Why don’t you explain your team and we can go from there. Both mouse and bunny are normal types but they do sort of different things. Lopunny is a very offensive pokemon. With fake out, scrappy, you are hitting almost everything for neutral to SE damage. Mouse can be offensive with pop bomb but is not as offensive as lopunny. Can be a bulky support set with friend guard and follow me.

Scizzor is also an amazing pokemon but struggles against zard or any fire pokemon

Reply

So bascu and garchomp are good i would say

Reply

so basically I was just looking to use scizor/chomp core to counter the zard/glim/ floette teams that are everywhere. Chomp also does okay into arch which has been pretty popular. I use whim as my set up/ disrupter, lopunny for fake out and heavy damage, basc for heavy damage/ speed priority, and armaroug was just a fun spicy pick that has a good match up into the giraffe and sneasler which are both annoying. Also has flame body for zards and torkoals, and has wide guard which nobody expects lol

Reply

It also lives a sucker punch and can one shot gambit which is sick lol

Reply

Its worked okay but I still struggle against teams that deal heavy special damage

Reply

Your team seems to deal with meta better than what am running tbh

Reply

😂 😂 😂

Reply

Anything speacial you are struggling with?

Reply

Actually wait it wasn’t the special attack damage I was struggling with lol it was mostly mons that stop priority like the giraffe and tsarena. But then after they get speed control I struggle with the heavy special attack damage that comes after 😂 like blastoise, zard, and sylveon

I know my teams has the counters, but maybe Im just playing the team bad? :zPokemonChampionsSad:

You have armour cannon for tsareena. If you are struggling with giraff, you might think or a taunt pokemon.

Reply

Giraff is very bulky and can be setup to actually take a kowtow easily. When I was playing giraff the main issues I faced was finches from rockslide or taunt from non prankster pokemon.

Reply

So maybe taunt on wim and I can put encore back on lopunny? My main thing is I like the triple axel coverage on lopunny for dactyle :bulbahide:

Reply

Taunt on whim does not help you with prio blocking

Reply

Oh yea you’re right

Reply

Lemme see who on my team can learn taunt lol one sec

Reply

Darn no good options for taunt. Who would you suggest running?

Reply

I am interested in a scizzor team too but today might be a bit difficult. Let me see if I can think of something tomorrow

Okay sounds good! Thanks for the help :zPokemonChampionsCool:
