Zoroark might be one the funniest pokemons to use in competitive, and its very good as a support pokemon as well. This is the team i have been using as of lately, i would like ot hear thoughts as well as where i should improve!

Zoroark Hisui: Underrated VGC Support Pick

Reply

Only note i can think of is why not use a dark move on incineroar? otherwise looks very nice, respect for the scizor

Reply

yeah so i originally had Taunt on Zoroark and Throat Chop on Incineroar. The problem was that Zoroark was a sitting duck VS Sneasler and Kingambit, so i added Will-o-wisp, thats why i then changed throat chop for taunt, as i already have a Dark type attacker. Scizor is really good now with aerodactyl and floette running around

Good picks for Pokemon who's abilities don't immediately reveal the illusion

Reply

Just be wary that zoroark can't try to be incineroar

Reply

thanks! it was really hard to pick a sixth member, went with rotom-heat, rotom-W and then i settled with scizor

Reply

Oh yeah, i think levitate also announces

Reply

yeah, thats why its the only nickname that doesnt say that it is, but thanks for warning me

Reply

Levitate only announces when a ground type move targets the user thankfully

Reply

No, the abilities that trigger before the turn are the ones im trying to avoid, like intimidate or defiant. Levitate activates in the middle of the turn

Reply

Levitate only activates after getting hit by a ground move

Reply

Also I'm curious about why shadow ball over bitter malice?

Reply

As long as you avoid abilities that could trigger when the user switches in you should be fine

Reply

oh yeah, three reasons: I didnt like that all my moves always dropped stats with all the Kingambit and Sneasler running around, since it activates defiant or white herb. And it turns out that shadow ball can reliably kill frail Mega Gengar and 2HKO sneasler without the fear of always dropping attack ( i know it can drop SpD, but its better). Also, the attack drop isnt as worth it when im running Wisp.

Reply

yeah thanks! I oftedn run Zoroark as a lead and not in the back, so yeah levitate is fine

General rule of thumb is if you see incineroar it's a VGC team
