Darkitsu Policy Update: Venting Channels Removed

Darkitsu announces removal of the Vent and Vent-Confessions channels to reduce constant negativity and protect members. Important update!
Me and Ox have noticed that the venting/confessions channels have honestly become the most active part of the server, with a lot of conversations centered around very heavy topics. We care deeply about everyone here and never want anyone to feel unsupported, but we also feel that this constant negativity could put a damper on what we're trying to build here.
Because of this, we’ve both decided to remove Vent and Vent-Confessions.
If you need to vent, ping @ vent in #serious-topics and vent in DM's. Keep in mind that this channel is not a venting channel and will include topics such as struggles, world events, politics, controversies, and sometimes even silly stuff.
We do however want to make sure our boundaries are clear moving forward:
- Messages involving suicide and extremely sensitive topics (Excluding political) should NEVER be mentioned in the server at all
- Excessively graphic, overly intense, or inappropriate messages may be removed by staff (and may be given a warning depending on level of sensitivity)
We want to be clear that this change is not because we don’t care. We honestly and deeply do. We encourage anyone struggling to reach out to people around them, other members, or utilize #resources .
This server is intended to be a social and music-focused community, and we want to encourage more socializing, connection, and positive interaction throughout the server as a whole.
