Phantom Recorder 1.9.1 Adds Snapchat Support
Summary
Phantom Tools announces Phantom Recorder 1.9.1 with Snapchat support, Snap Watcher, and automatic migration of settings and history. The update adds story spotlight and highlights downloading with one request, periodic Snap watching without signing in, and image quality fixes. It also fixes the NEW badge behavior and Instagram status coloring.
🆕 Phantom Recorder 1.9.1 — now with Snapchat
Heads up: the tool used to be called TikTok Live Recorder — it's Phantom Recorder now, since it does more than TikTok (TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube). Your install carries its settings, logins and history over by itself on the first start.
📥 Snapchat (downloader)
Paste a profile —
@nameorsnapchat.com/@name— and you get three modes:
• Story — what is running right now, gone after 24 hours
• Spotlight — the public posts, which stay
• Highlights — what the account saved to its profileAll three arrive from one single page request, so switching between them costs nothing. Nothing is signed in — a public profile is readable by anyone, so no cookie, no browser window, no account of yours.
👻 Snap Watcher
The same job as the Instagram story watch, without its problem. Nothing is signed in, so there is no session to spend and no account that could get flagged — which is why this one looks every 30 to 90 minutes, drawn at random, one request per account. New snaps land on disk by themselves. Spotlight and highlights aren't watched: they don't expire, so there's nothing to catch in time.
🎯 About quality
There is nothing to choose here, and that is not a shortcut. Each snap carries two addresses: the full one and a 256 pixel preview. The number inside the address is part of the identifier, not a size dial — measured on a story image, the full address delivered 1242×2208, while 2047, 1080 and 1920 in its place all answered 404. The tile shows the preview, the download takes the full file.
🛠️ Also fixed
• The NEW badge stays until you open that account's folder — it used to disappear before anyone had looked.
• A private Instagram account you follow is no longer marked red. Red now means Instagram actually refused the request.
• Colours re-measured: black text on Snapchat's yellow instead of white, and a readable selected tab.

Every real build shows Official build in green under Settings → About, and its checksum matches the one posted here. If a checksum doesn't match, it's not this program — don't run it.
