Addressing Anti-Muslim Bias Among Lebanese

Summary

On r/Lebanon the community discusses a worrying normalization of hate toward Muslims by some Lebanese living in Gulf countries. The announcement highlights ridicule of religious traditions, criticism of Eid celebrations, and the broader social impact. This matters to r/Lebanon because it affects cultural cohesion, respect, and how Lebanese engage online.

Can we talk about how normalized it has become on social media to hate on Muslims in general? Specifically from Lebanese living in Gulf muslim countries?

I'm not talking about the typical comment section bots or the Twitter and Facebook boomer hate, I'm talking about a surge of full on "educated" Lebanese mostly living in Muslim gulf countries( 86% of christian lebanese would be under the poverty line if it wasnt for gulf region oppurtunities according to the latest reports) rashing and ridiculing Muslims on the internet as if it's a totally normal thing because we "deserve it".

The hate goes beyond political opinions, everything we do seems to trigger them, the way we practice our traditions, our cultural background, the way we dress, I even saw takes criticizing us just for observing our religious traditions and celebrating Eid😭
