Debate Over Airport Appointment Rocks r/Lebanon

Summary

On r/Lebanon a heated announcement covers recent appointments affecting general security and specifically the airport, with complaints about sectarian reactions from Christians and aounists. The post questions why religious identity matters for appointments and compares the situation to DEIA debates abroad. This matters to the community because it highlights rising polarization and moderation challenges.

Regarding the recent appointments , General security, army but specifically the airport, the Christians and the aounist in general has gone mad

Just because someone got appointed at the airport that is not Christian, I am seeing posts like this would have never happened if Michele Aoun was president, or blaming Geaga for it 🙄 I know aounit has an IQ lower than the dead sea, but we as a lebanese in genes when are we gonna stop caring for this shit ? Who the fuck cares if airport president is Muslim or Christian or devil worshiper ? Ironically in the US they have something similar called DEIA but it's based on race and ethnicity , and Trump is fighting that. End of rant
