Can BAU Students Transfer from Dentistry to Medicine?

Summary

In r/Lebanon, a student asks whether Beirut Arab University may allow a transfer from Dentistry to Medicine after being accepted into Dentistry and paying the deposit. The discussion matters to applicants weighing their options and seeking guidance on reconsideration, changing majors, or transferring within BAU.

Question regarding BAU

Hi.. I have a question for anyone studying at BAU who might be able to help me.
I applied this year to study at the university, and my two choices were Medicine and Dentistry, with Dentistry as my first choice. I was accepted into Dentistry but rejected from Medicine.
The issue is that I’ve recently changed my mind and now want to study Medicine instead of Dentistry. I’ve already paid the deposit for Dentistry for the upcoming academic year.
Is there still any way I could transfer to Medicine this year? Is my rejection from Medicine final, or is there a possibility of reconsideration or changing my major?
I’d really appreciate it if anyone could help or share their experience. Thank you
