Layle App Helps You Find Places in Lebanon

Summary

In r/Lebanon this announcement introduces Layle, an app to help users find events, afterparties, pubs, clubs, beaches and cafés across Lebanon. It explains features like hosting paid or free events, saving plans, adding friends and simple chat, and asks the community for feedback before launch and to join the waitlist at layle.app.

I’m building an app for figuring out where to go in Lebanon. Would you actually use it?

Hey everyone, we are working on an app called Layle, coming from the usual “shu aam naamel l layle?” conversation.

The idea is to bring together events, afterparties, and places like pubs, clubs, beaches, and cafés, so you can find something to do and make a plan with your friends.

I know Tick’it exists, and there’s definitely overlap around events and tickets. What we are trying to build with Layle also covers those nights when you don’t have a specific event in mind. You just want somewhere to go, something different to try, or a party worth joining.

You’d also be able to host paid or free events, save plans, leave notes for friends in different places, add friends, and chat with people you connect with. The social side would stay simple, with no posting feed or stories.

It’s still being built, starting with Beirut. Before taking it further, I’d like some honest feedback:

How do you currently find places and events? And what would make you bother using another app for it?
If this sounds useful, there’s a waitlist at layle.app. But feedback is welcome either way, including if you think something already does this well.
