Lebanon Debate: Hezbollah, Israel and National Unity
Summary
In r/Lebanon, this announcement argues that Hezbollah’s decision to continue fighting shares blame for Lebanon’s destruction alongside Israel’s attacks. It highlights civilian deaths and displacement, fears for southern Lebanon, and calls for discussion about Hezbollah’s influence, a stronger Lebanese state, and national unity.
Reminder that Hezbollah holds as much blame as Israel for our destruction
This is beyond religions and sects. Mafi ana sunni w shi3i w marouni in this. We were all dragged into this, & it's our duty to speak up & end Hezbollah's influence for good before we turn into Gaza 2.0
Hezb's explosive drones don't mean shit when theyre only causing us more death & annihilation. There's no victory to be celebrated here. Thousands are dying or losing their homes every moment, & there's no force in the world to save them from Israel's genocidal wrath. Hezbollah knows this yet still chooses to continue fighting a losing war - 3a 7seb 7ayetna w 2ahelna w watanna
Hezb needs to fall, or we'll fall with it eventually. Hezb supporters are too high on captagon to be reasoned with, or to believe in a strong Lebanese state. They only want to fight, until 5 ni2at mo7talle become 60 diya3, & 60 diya3 become khat asfar, & who knows what else will come next
There's no nuance here, no national dialog to be had or "selm ahli" to "preserve." Either we cut this Iranian parasite from our country or we lose jnoub & our "selm ahli" with it too
The one who instigates needless wars & labels us as "zios" IS the threat to jnoub & our unity, not just Israel
