Sabra and Shatila, October 7, and Double Standards

Summary

In r/Lebanon, this announcement questions why the Sabra and Shatila massacre is condemned while October 7 is described by some as justified resistance. It draws comparisons involving violence against Lebanese Christians and Palestinians, inviting discussion about political consistency and how these events are viewed across the Arab world.

Why is sabra and shatila condemned but October 7 justified?

Everything people rightly accuse Israel of doing to Palestinians, the palestinians done to Lebanese primarily to Lebanese Christian’s however ask any Arab/leftist what they think about October 7 and they will tell you it was justified act of resistance from the native population against foreign invaders etc but the same people who support October 7 condemn sabra and Shatila.

Killing Jews at a music festival wasn’t going to liberate Palestine but it was still ok in the eyes of many across the Arab world so then why shouldn’t sabra and shatila also be viewed in the same way?
