Ofc but those with no care will keep going, what artists can do is not let it stop them from doing what they enjoy
itz like asking a blind person to draw
Also things like copyright claims could be done and things to stop AI from being able to use their work
yeah, they can generate garbage
but from your perspective based on feelings i bet thats better
Still possible depending on where u look, like ppl set up commissions and some websites r dedicated to artists work so not all hope is lost and the industry isn't just gonna go away
i cant take you seriously
same buddy
my opinion has logic, but its beyond your shorthanded understanding
so did i
Trust me
By the time we’re all gone
AI gonna be widespread everywhere like Cyberpunk 2077
"if free food becomes accessible, farmers will lose their job"
Nah ppl will still respect art and artists will still enjoy making it, even I started while AI art was rising cos it looked fun to draw
Not everyone likes gen AI tho so it can still work, also struggling to make a living can happen in more than just the art industry
art could still come from artist, yk?
Not accepting it as an option, I just go with the mindset of not using or agreeing with and working with the idea that artists will still keep making art
same with the industrial revolution, and thats why we now have phones and cars and airplanes
the food wouldn't have to come from the farmers, but whatever
but i am the one ragebaiting, right?
What path do u mean, like being an artist I'm guessing
....
im done explaining it, makes sense, but you have to think
So it can still be a side hussle, it'll always be hard but some can still choose to try
you dont agree with logic and critical thinking
That's for like most hobbies which can be jobs nowadays, doesn't mean it's not possible
thats like saying people shouldn't try to do sports because they wont get hired.
does it mean we should blame the good players for taking away jobs?
for simply being a better alternative?
Yeah exactly, they should at least try
no they shouldnt, listen to her
It is but it won't stop those with enough passion to go through with what they want
we should lower the bar and hired eveb the least skillful artists
Yh ig it's better to give up and let AI win
It's bad but artists can either let it affect what they do or choose to ignore the threat
cars took horses job off, dont see you complaining about that
improvement is always good
horses like movement
Then u mentioned abt artists not feeling they can go through with their passion
and they get paid by having food
I thought we were expanded on the debate since we agreed with the initial statement
okay what about vacuum cleaner and washing machines taking off maids jobs
Yeah but not everyone, like for me personally I started wanting to make art during the time AI was becoming a big thing and 'taking over'
It didn't stop many artists, it just pushed them to do more
omg, all of your points are "erm actually"
nice ragebai
t
Doesn't mean they stopped entirely
you just want to be able to do a mediocre job and still be hired
you said like if "starving artist" wasnt the common trope
that was before ai btw
actually
