Building the Ultimate VGC 'Big 6' Team | Pokémon Champions
Summary
The Pokémon Champions | VGC Battles & Tournaments server is launching a long-term project to define the next unbeatable 'Big 6' team for Regulation M-C. This community-driven initiative focuses on optimizing competitive cores featuring Rillaboom, Incineroar, Salamence, and Gholdengo. Members are actively analyzing EV spreads and synergy to refine the current meta, making this an essential resource for players looking to master high-level competitive play.
I will probably be using this thread for an extremely long time, probably the entirety of regulation M-C. The goal of this is to create, as the title suggests, the potential new "unbeatable", dominant team for the next regulation. No messing around or inconsistencies, or off meta stuff. Just pure metaslaving. As we all know Rilaboom Incineroar core is literally the best thing in champions here, one of the duos to beat. Mence is Salamence no further explanation needed. Sneasler has insane synergy with Rilaboom, and is always a stable in lower power formats it seems, so I don't think this is going to change anytime soon. Gholdengo was a demon back in late regulation H, running stupidly bulky optimised sets together with Rilaboom to provide passive recovery. Floette seems to be the ideal pair to mmence, and also an amazing abuser of fake out pressure, that's why it is here. Also provides built in synergy with Rilaboom lead, stopping intimidate.

Current problem needed to be solved:
- Optimising Incineroar EV spread, probably changing/leaning tor offensive fast Incineroar. (Thinking about changing to offensive item but I am not convinced, the power of Incineroar is longevity)
- Rillaboom EV optimising, no idea what this guy needs to live
- Consideration of 3a floette, or potentially even dropping?! (Idt so)

Sneasler:
Gunk shot balances out power wise with the low attack investment, able to pick up stuff like Sylveon and Floette even while unboosted, while picking up stuff like slightly chipped Salamence mega after one SD. The bulky set ensures you take a modest floette moonblast, as well as stuff like mmence hyper voice. The defense investment is to take rough skin damage and survive an non adamant life orb Garchomp stomping tantrum after seed pop. It also is extremely helpful with priority like sucker gambit/golisopod with grassy terrain getting you slowly back up, aqua jet basc/golisopod. Speaking of bac you two hit at +2
Gholdengo:
Takes two Sneasler throat chops after 3 or for recovery ticks (I don't remember which oneeee). Survives shadow ball from max spatk timid gholdengo/low spatk modest and retaliates back with its own shadow ball killing usual spreads after life orb chip damage. Set is extremely useful because many choose to drop modest for to Gholdengo mirror, which ends up benefiting this bulkier version. Not to mention that with tailwind support you still outspeed relevant threats. CAREFUL, THIS IS ANOTHER SET THAT CANNOT KO SALAMENCE WITHOUT SLIGHT CHIP DAMAGE AT +3
Basically the reason I want to make Incineroar more offensive. Between Sneasler taking like 40 max from iron head as well as my boom being hhp I feel I have meaningful damage output into it. 3a floette was also something I am considering as I said for this reason
Plus with the meta being so offensive I rarely find myself actually clicking cm, feel even sub would make more sense LOL

Definitely don't feel like taunt is needed, the tr mu isn't even bad
Between Rilaboom threatening a kill on the setter after spread chip, double spread if they have redirection as well as good defensive utility and no problems to psyspam and floette setting up cm if they don't have mmaw it's really hard for them to break

Sadly you need like 15+ to kill some ghold and charcoal to get Froslass so might not be worth at all
And you need 28+ charcoal to kill max hp gambit so not even mentioning that
As for this I believe dedge is only being used against floette, and the floette teams I got matched up against in higher ladder on SD were playing around it
One even had Coba wisp volcarona which was lowk cool

One of the other reasons I am thinking about Incineroar is that I have a pretty non punishable start into perish trap
Salamence plus Gholdengo lead and then hard swap Gholdengo for incin t1
Plus if you can only just bait shadow ball for some turns and get twind with no trap you win

Or like slowly grind it down with hhp boom and incin
In my experience you really just need to call if it leads or if it's on the back
Snealser is almost always faster than gambit
So u just need to enter clean when gambit has no protection

That why I tend to lead ghold sneas
If no gambit I switch Sneasler to something, either intim Mon or boom for recovery, or if it's Gambit I get boom and and activate seed and abuse if for setup
Even a like 20-25 hp Sneasler should deal with gambit in the endgame if you get mindgames correct or have terrain

And I'm happy to say it's close to the truth
If you check recent tournament results, this kind of team with the biggest differences being Dnite over mence and rock tomb white herb Sneasler with life orb Gholdengo has been performing extremely welll
