I've been doing somewhat well after a hiatus and have managed to push to UB 2 with this team, but I'm struggling into archaludon specifically. Any advice would be appreciated, as well as thoughts on the team
Why does Hisuian-Arcanine have focus sash? Two of his moves break it through knockback damage, and extreme speed guarantees you get your move in before the other dude.
As an Archaludon UB player I'd be scared of the fire damage if you could negate my rain. Maybe charcoal would be helpful against Archaludon instead of sash?
Also if you don't really need tailwind on your mence maybe dragon pulse or something would do more damage to Archaludon?
Arcanine can use focus sash because of his rock head ability. The ability negates all recoil damage from moves like flare blitz or rock head so it's good he holds sash because he has a lot of weakness.
The main way to deal with archaludon is strong neutral or super effective special attacks(he has very low special defense). Pokemon with earth power or focus blast can one or two hit KO archaludon, and their damage is not affected by intimidate or stamina. I will suggest Raichu y.
You could also use sneasler as it can two shot it if it doesn't get too many stamina boosts.
The main thing to take note of is make sure you don't give it boosts if you can't 1-2 shot it with physical attacks, and be careful of pelliper.
That's good to know! I haven't played much against him but my basculegion usually anihilates that guy before I have a chance to see him do anything
rock head
Sceptile isn't a bad option for him then either, he can also use lightning rod and get +1 spa on a switch in if you mega earlier, and he would benefit from rain dampening fire types as well
Well that's the point of the sash, he has two common 4x weaknesses, water and ground, and a bunch of regular weaknesses, so it's better to give it sash to make sure it can take ko on threats like golisopod or Charizard y
