Mega Beedrill Team Build & Strategy

Summary

Pokémon Champions | VGC Battles & Tournaments announcement covers a ladder team build centered on Mega Beedrill. It outlines simple rules (no dual mega, friend guard requirement), core moves like U-turn Fell Stinger Pollen Puff Poison Jab, partner options such as Mamoswine and Heliolisk, and strategy notes on speed ties, counters, and weather cores. Reply

Okay back to building the bee

Reply

Test one did no work at all

Reply

any ideas for a core with the bee

Reply

If we go mega beedrill route and need counters, mamoswine with high horsepower shuts down no sash sneasler, decent damage into gambit, icicle crash for aero

Reply

Weak into basc, needs scarf I guess?

Reply

Okay so we have bee and scarf mamo

Reply

That means we've opened ourselves up for snow

Reply

A9 can now join the team

Reply

Which gives up an option for more than one hit to keep bee alive

Reply

No reason I cannot just add my own sneasler

Reply

Cc into it and phys swap bee out if need be

Reply

Yeah I'm sure aurora veil doesn't save from sucker

Reply

But might from other things. I'll have to check calcs

Reply

I feel like aurora saved from sucker lemme check

Reply

32+ Atk Black Glasses Kingambit Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Beedrill-Mega with an ally's Aurora Veil: 81-96 (57.8 - 68.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Reply

So that saves sucker on bee

Reply

And allows a pivot out

Reply

Okay we have bee mamoswine sneasler a9

Jet punch it is. Anything else you see you would change? Any coverage I'm missing?

Reply

Or I'll just be going back to whimsi

Reply

Mainly one that does something to fish

Reply

So next we test noivern and see what happens

Reply

And it's immune to eq

Reply

Main reason I wanted to test and see if it was worth trying

Reply

Otherwise it's aero or whimsi again and call it good

Reply

Then to keep slotting different mons to find something that fits better or covers beedrills weaknesses better and try and make this damn thing work

Reply

I was thinking of round Sylveon+beedrill but the problem is I don't know what mons can be afforded to be swapped

Reply
