Phantom Recorder 1.9.4 Fixes TikTok Downloads
Summary
Phantom Tools announces Phantom Recorder 1.9.4 which restores TikTok profile downloads by fixing off-screen window throttling so lazy loaded post grids fully render. The fix also covers the Instagram story watch off-screen window. A 59.9 MB download with SHA-256 is pinned in the channel and profile scans now return full pages in about eight seconds.
🩹 Phantom Recorder 1.9.4
TikTok profile downloads work again.
TikTok changed how a profile page loads: the post grid now fills in only as the tiles scroll into view. The scan runs in a window kept off-screen so nothing pops up while it works — and Windows throttles the rendering of a window it thinks is hidden, so the grid never filled and a whole-profile download came back empty ("no posts found") even for public accounts with plenty of posts.
Fixed: the hidden scan window now runs with that throttling switched off, so the grid loads the same as a visible one. Measured on an account that had stopped working — back from 0 posts to a full page in about eight seconds. Single-link downloads and the other platforms were never affected.
Same fix covers the off-screen window the Instagram story watch uses.
