Three Lebanese Registered in Antarctica

Summary

On r/Lebanon the community shares a surprising 2022 elections discovery: three Lebanese registered from Adélie Land (Antarctica). The post explains overseas registration rules and the 200-voter delegation threshold, links to the official list, and highlights how the finding underscores Lebanon's global diaspora presence and community interest.

Just found out that there were 3 Lebanese people registered in Antarctica for the 2022 elections

Context: In 2022, Lebanese citizens living abroad had the option to register overseas. If at least 200 Lebanese citizens were registered in a particular country, a delegation would be sent to enable them to vote from abroad. By reviewing the list of countries that failed to meet the registration quota, I discovered that three Lebanese citizens had registered from Adélie Land (a French territory in Antarctica). I found that funny because it shows that we really are everywhere ! Here is the list for those who are interested : https://elections.gov.lb/api//Media/802A2741-0DBC-41C7-B930-FDE1C2DFCA72.pdf
