The Seal Keeper: Marwan and the Red Python

Marwan overlooking Mount Lebanon (from my comic project "The Seal Keeper")

In summer 1973, Marwan is convinced he saw a red python, much to his father’s dismay: "Red snakes don't exist around here!"

At a wedding reception, chaos ensues when Marwan screams, "Snake! Watch out!" yet no one sees it and thinks he lost his mind.

Yet he was never hallucinating: the creature is the pet of Humbaba, guardian of the cedar forest, who entrusts Marwan with a mystical amber seal pendant.

The artwork depicts Marwan later in the story with his unusual pet, his seal pendant and scimitar.

Hezbollah, Disarmament and Lebanon’s Security

Hezbollah must be convinced to prioritize Lebanon and not Iran, says Elias Bou Saab

“If the Lebanese state does not have Hezbollah’s approval, it is negotiating over something that it cannot deliver.

“That’s why Hezbollah needs to be convinced that we need to reach a solution to the issue of handing over weapons and ensuring that weapons are exclusively in the hands of the Lebanese state,” he said.

Bou Saab emphasized the need to disarm Hezbollah and ensure that the Lebanese army is the only armed force in Lebanon.

But he said that disarmament was not enough.
“The issue is not simply about handing over weapons. There need to be guarantees, including the liberation of Lebanese territory and prisoners, and guarantees that Israel will not attack Lebanon,” he said.

Lebanon Reacts to Syria’s Fuel Price Protests

Lebanese are cowards

Politics aside, respect for Syrians standing up against [rising fuel prices](https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/syria-fuel-price-hikes-trigger-widest-protests-since-assad-fall-2026-09-14/).

Lebanese on the other hand can take every price increase like a bitch taking dicks.

PCOS Support in Lebanon: Affordable Options & Advice

PCOS/PMOS support in Lebanon (Affordable)

Shortcuts from my terrible PCOS PMOS experiment in Lebanon (& what works!)

I saw so many people post about an OBGYN for pcos/pmos and wanted to share shortcuts from my experience.

Please & i mean PLEASE! learn from all my mistakes.

I went to SO many obgyn's each one worse than the other.

At AUBMC, CMC, etc etc etc - the best doctor is Dr. Rafka Bou Habib. She is the BEST.

But, unless you have insurance coverage - you are likely (fkd) :(

I see so much about how to heal pcos online - from different herbs, routines, things to do not do, girls in their early 20s trying to sell you their affiliate codes or teas or medicines or lord knows what.

PLEASE HEAR ME OUT!

all clinical research for non hormal (aka no birth control) ways of supporting PCOS is

  1. GLUCOPHAGE - metformin; tackles insulin resistance - the engine that keeps your pcos running.

  2. FOR EXTREME CASES: Celine - herbal supplement, every herb you'd see all tik tokers, doctors, naturopaths, dietitians, and infleuncers say you need for $1.4/day. get it. its worth it.

Pleaseeee remember - PCOS can be managed & not healed - but it is worth the try with the right medical support!

i did not have my period for 6 years & those 2 things really helped when it came to medical intervention.

Fake Xiaomi TV Box S 3rd Gen Scams in Lebanon

Got scammed with a fake Xiaomi TV Box S (3rd Gen) on OLX (Verified Shopper)

Hey guys, watch out if you're buying a Xiaomi TV Box S (3rd Gen) in Lebanon right now. Clones are circulating everywhere, and sellers are blocking people the second they get called out.

The seller who sent me this goes by "Shopy" on OLX and Facebook. They deliver sealed boxes through private drivers, take cash, and blocked me on WhatsApp as soon as I showed them proof that the hardware was fake.

If you are buying one, try to buy it in person from a real shop. If you order online, inspect the box before handing your money to the driver:

On the box (Front and Back):

- Fake says "Ok Google" in the speech bubble. The authentic one says "Hey Google". Google stopped using "Ok Google" on boxes years ago.

- The "3rd Gen" label on the fake has a thin, weird font in a small box. The real one uses Xiaomi's usual bold font.

- The back of the fake has a Mario Bros picture saying "700,000+ movies" with an unofficial Google Cast logo. The authentic one has the standard Google TV graphic that says "Browse 400,000+ movies and TV episodes" with official HDMI and Dolby logos.

- The orange spec icons on the side (Quad-core, 32GB, Wi-Fi 6) look faded and badly spaced on the fake.

On the bottom of the device:

- The "(3rd Gen)" text and the CE icons on the fake are thick, blurry, and smudged. The real one has clean, sharp laser engraving.

Inside the software (if you already opened it):

- Install AIDA64 from the Play Store. The fake shows an Allwinner H618 chip (a cheap generic processor) claiming to run at 2.5 GHz. Real Xiaomi boxes use Amlogic chips.

- In the Play Store under Settings > About, it permanently says "Device is not certified", and your Google account sees it as an "A1 ADT-3" board.

- The fake cannot run the real Android TV Netflix app. It comes with the mobile version instead.

- Setting it to 4K 60Hz causes black screens and flickering because the board is terrible, forcing you to drop to 1080p.

Lebanon’s Power-Sharing System Explained

We are not a normal country

Recently I made a post about Geagea complaining that foreign minister Rajji who he appointed is being excluded from the ongoing negotiations, and people were rightly puzzled as to why I was objecting to this. After all he is the foreign minister, officially at least it is within his purview. So why am I, someone who supposedly wants an empowered state in Lebanon objecting to this? After all isn't including the people who were officially appointed a sign of respect for our institutions?

I think i was being a bit sarcastic in that post, but please understand I don't begrudge people for buying this argument. This misunderstanding comes from a good place usually, and the party leaders know this and play on it in order to make themselves seem legitimate. However you need to understand that what they are saying and what you are hearing are two very different things. In order to explain why I need to explain the political system that was formed after the civil war.

Most people know that the Lebanese civil war was a horrible period in our history with lots of different factions involved. The violence wasn't just between people of different religions, it was between warlords who were competing for power with the protection of their sect as an excuse. The war wasn't just between Christians and Muslims, it was sometimes between different leaders of the same sect. Notably Aoun's war was a war between two Christian leaders, Michel Aoun who led the army at the time and Samir Geagea who led the LF, not to mention the violence between Hezbollah and Amal among other things.

The notable thing about the Lebanese civil war is that nobody really won. The war ended with the Taef agreement, which had to put in place a system of power sharing that allowed representation of all major parties involved in the civil war without one being able to dominate the others with maintaining peace between the parties as the goal. The president's power was significantly curtailed, and a system was put in place where everything from political app...

Layle App Helps You Find Places in Lebanon

I’m building an app for figuring out where to go in Lebanon. Would you actually use it?

Hey everyone, we are working on an app called Layle, coming from the usual “shu aam naamel l layle?” conversation.

The idea is to bring together events, afterparties, and places like pubs, clubs, beaches, and cafés, so you can find something to do and make a plan with your friends.

I know Tick’it exists, and there’s definitely overlap around events and tickets. What we are trying to build with Layle also covers those nights when you don’t have a specific event in mind. You just want somewhere to go, something different to try, or a party worth joining.

You’d also be able to host paid or free events, save plans, leave notes for friends in different places, add friends, and chat with people you connect with. The social side would stay simple, with no posting feed or stories.

It’s still being built, starting with Beirut. Before taking it further, I’d like some honest feedback:

How do you currently find places and events? And what would make you bother using another app for it?
If this sounds useful, there’s a waitlist at layle.app. But feedback is welcome either way, including if you think something already does this well.

Is Your ATCL International Driver’s License Legit?

International Driver's License

Hi guys,

Has anyone got an International license made from ATCL? I recently got one from an agent but I'm not sure if it's legit or if I got scammed. For one, it doesn't say ATCL on it anywhere, and I read online that ATCL is the only official authority to issue an international license. It has an LAA stamp (Lebanese automobile authority) though.

In appearance it looks similar to this: https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRmIx05l1kqJPNd1b2CSNHxlYqKnJoow7yppSPKk8UEbvSWl35hpzIotgA&s=10

I'm going to the US next month and my whole trip depends on a car rental I have booked with Avis.
