Thank you for bringing this to our attention. While the CBCG is obviously in error, I'm unaware that the content of The Two Babylons shows anything other than the roots of the RCC are the pagan religions founded at the Tower of Babel. Note that the only opposition they can muster is to personally attack the author for his lack of scholarship, not the evidence presented.
I consider this issue to be the same as eating meat sacrificed before idols; the fact that a doctrinally unsound ritual was performed over it has no affect whatsoever on the substance itself. I would cautiously examine everything consumed in light of the whole word, comparing scripture with scripture, eating only the parts that are good, while spitting out the bones.
I will answer by way of a question. Where in the Scriptures that record both the actions and teachings of the early Christian church do you see any of these things happening, much less them being a normal part of receiving the spirit? (e.g., hour-long deliverances, spitting up mucous, laughing uncontrollably, etc.)? What does Galatians 3:2 say that is required to receive the Spirit and does it involve any of the things you are talking about?
