No verses to back up as of now – I'm at the gym lol, but baptism is symbolic of what is true. I.e to say you believe in the gospel, that's why you receive baptism. So the thief that was crucified at the cross spoke a good word of Christ, the good word that was spoken was equal to a baptism. Jesus being The Lord has authority to give eternal life to whoever who believes in him.

If you notice that tons of physical actions and response are physical representation of what is done already In The Spirit.

With your heart believe unto righteousness (invisible unseen) mouth confess unto salvayion (visible and seen)

Similarly acts 16:31, (heart believe unto salvayion)

So if you were to dig Abit you notice believing and confession are a chiastic structure of the same truth that happens to a believe. Likewise someone who baptised is saved, for example to say they have already believed therefore a physical manifestation is baptism. The heart and the mouth/entering into the water are physical correspondent to what is spiritual.

Let's establish who is being addressed in these passages,
What was Saint Peter given the keys to?
What was Saint Paul given to give to us?

I took a Church History course from Gordon-Conwell online, but seem to recall the disciples of the twelve outnumbered Paul's, focusing instead on preserving and expanding "the apostle's doctrine".

What verses explicitly state:
* who Jesus of Narazeth was sent to?
* where, to whom, and what did He preach?
* what those 'doctrines' are based on?

I would still agree that baptism saves but different churches explains it differently. In the end it's about obedience to the gospel and not taking short cuts. If you can believe in the gospel, get baptised. If you refuse to be baptised... As a believer i don't think you understand what it means to be baptised and the importance of it. We don't go to a buffet and eat merely the rice, baptism is an eternal blessing of The Spirit that God has given to us, we are to enjoy fully all that Christ has died for us to receive. Salvation isn't just being saved from hell, it's being saved from your sins, an evil conscience... And tons of things the world throw us

You have to deny sacramental theology altogether or prefer to call them ordinances to consider baptism not salvific which is a pentecostal's stance

I'm non-denominational but I believe baptism saves

I.e Noah's ark saved the 8 lives. Does believing in Noah's message saves you? Yes. But you have to go on the ark.
Same thing with sacramental theology, God uses the foolish things to confound the wise. We are baptised with Christ into his death, and God uses a symbol to bring about great grace unto our salvation. There's always exceptions in the faith when God permits one but as long as we are in this life we believe what Jesus commands us to do. He who believes and is baptised is saved. Yeah that's about it from me.

Thank you for the proper rebuke for my poor wording, and I sincerely apologize for the misplaced accusation. I am zealouis for the gospel of the grace of God, given to Paul, not of men or history, but by the ascended LORD Himself.

Our common belief in THE gospel that was preached to Abraham beforehand and given to Paul to give to us, is what unites us in the body of Christ, and there's only one way into it.

I accept that in God's perfect plan and timing that He has used different means of salvation, especially with the House of Israel. Read was Zachariah expects Messiah to save them from.

May God richly bless you all.

I had prayed as a babe in Christ and asked God for wisdom and understanding, which He freely gives, though the difference between the body of Moses, and the body of Christ.
