Mega Gardevoir Trick Room Team

I'm pretty new to VGC (and this server) so I apologise if this post isn't as detailed as it should be.

I started playing in the first regulation of champions (using a Charizard Y sun team) but haven't played since then. I had wanted to create a Mega Gardevoir team but lacked the motivation to do it (I was going to pair it with Aegislash but didn't really like the rest of the supporting cast). However, upon seeing Mega Golisopod and Indeedee being added to the game I thought, I thought they would be a good trio to build around. After looking online for a while it seems like they're actually quite a popular group! That gave me the motivation to actually start working on a team since it seems like the core idea is good at least.

My Mega Gardevoir is my most 'complete' pokémon and I think pretty much the only one I don't need help with. I am pretty happy with the moveset. Its stats are 32HP/32SpA/2Def with a modest nature. I assume this is the standard for a trick room team but if these should be adjusted at all please let me know!

I am also happy with the moves on my Indeedee though am unsure what stat spread I should use. Max HP? Max SpD? I'm really not sure. Should it have a speed lowering nature? I also don't know if sitrus berry is the ideal item, I kind of just used it as a place holder as a solid defensive item. I'd be happy to change it if there's something better.

I feel very similarly about my Golisopod. I'm happy with its moves but am very unsure about its stats. I would assume max attack plus a brave nature but am otherwise unsure.

And honestly, these three pokémon are the only ones I have confidence in and the only three I absolutely want to have on the team - the others can be removed if there's something better.

Pawmot hyper offence

i recently reached master ball with this pawmot hyper offence team, wanted to hear thoughts.

PAWMOT:
fake out allows for setup of tailwind or nasty plot gholdengo, also just slows opponents down generally, double shock can one shot basically anything it is super effective against, meaning pawmot has a great matchup into basculegion and rain teams. close combat is obvious fighting stab and allows for a great matchup into ttar, kingambit etc. ice punch hits garchomp, dragonite and salamence (though i havent seen any dragonites and salamence does outspeed it.) max attack and speed so i can guarantee outspeed all the non scarfed garchomp and other pokemon at 100 speed, sash is also really helpful

SYLVEON:

it has great synergy with typhlosion as fire fairy is amazing offensively, it does insane damage and gives me priority to finish off sash pokemon. EVs are to live jolly sneasler dire claw.

SNEASLER:

its a very standard sneasler, except with quick guard. quick guard helps beat the incin/rilla combo which is everywhere rn, also i have a few fast, frail pokemon which hate priority moves so it can be really useful. mostly for surprise blocking fake out tho.
sneasler helps my bad matchup into floette/sylveon and allows more fighting type damage in case pawmot goes down.

SALAMENCE:

special attacking salamence, hyper voice for strong spread, draco for burst, tailwind is the
only real speed control on the team which i need in order to beat opposing tailwind since the team is mostly frail. EVs oustpeed all jolly 100 speed pokemon though i am probably gonna change that to oustpeed jolly garchomp too.

GHOLDENGO:

regular gholdengo set, completes the fantasy cores and further improves my floette matchup, as well as my sand matchup. no power gem because if i see a charizard, pawmot and salamence can fs beat it.

TYPHLOSION:

really fast, instant damage the moment the game starts is very helpful + more fake out immunities are nice. extrasensory is only for sneasler because idfk what to put in the final slot, very open to change it tho. also will probably change it to frisk lol idk why its blaze.

AIM OF THE TEAM:

to overwhelm the opponent with strong, immediate damage, like regular hyper offense.

WEAKNESSES:

trick room, i find it very hard to kill the giraffe before it can trick room and if i lose speed control the game is essentially over. i dont know if this is a team issue or a skill issue but the giraffe is definitely a problem for me

would love to hear if anyone has any improvements/suggestions!

PTrap Rain team

Hey everyone, I’m fairly new to the VGC aspect of Pokemon, and I really like the Perish archetype, I’ve been trying to look at a few videos and stuff like that and I came up with this team. Mega Gengar being obviously the main piece of the team with Disable to be able to remove those super effective moves against him. Politoed as secondary endgame Perish user + drizzle ability to support Archaludon and Klefki. Rillaboom for half ground damage with pivoting and priority. Simple Archaludon build. Toxapex a bit more of an offensive one with venoshock critting everytime someone is poisoned and also infestation helps keep opposing Pokemon in the field. Klefki with screens, rain dance in case of weather teams to keep my rain weather going and fairy lock found interesting as a source of making sure even if I mess up my pivoting and repositioning during perish counters with Shadow Tag from Gengar, I can lock everyone on the field for the next turn which is pretty nice. Let me know what you guys think about the team, I’m open to anything. EVs everyone is just build bulky since the team doesn’t really go around damage output.

Salamence golisopod team

RIght now, I am trying to build a team that involves the dual mega pairing of Salamence and golisopod. These two megas can play into each other's opposing weaknesses letting me pivot my playstyle in correspondence to my opponent's team.

I am running swords dance Sneasler because Sneasler serves as an important partner for salamence offensively (steel and fairy) and a great partner for tailwind when it hasn't consumed its grassy seed. Rillaboom has eject button serving as a pivot tech with the lack of U-turn seen on this team. I can switch terrains with Rillaboom, get hit and switch back into my mons.

I need opinions on the team and what I should do in order to improve it further. (PS: trying to climb the ladder with salamence and golisopod)

Mastering Rain & Trick Room: VGC Team Building Guide

The main goal here to have sort of balance. My two mega are good for different situations, mega golisopod core there core is supposed to be rain / trick room team he is good into every team except for the zard and pyroar team so I would bring mega genagr and perish trap into those matchups.

The perish trap core where genagr is the main focus he is able to sweeep teams that don’t have ghost type and some specific dark type Pokémon.

The main problem is I have been struggling with is exactly what rain and trick room setter I should have the options I have been throwing around is, politoad ( it good to set up rain and good for perish trap stuff and zard matchups), indee is good for trick rooom and helping the team survive through perish song.

This is the first idea And I’m open to ideas for which Pokémon’s to use.

I was also running mimkyu around too hehe I have Primarina as an attacker and solid check into bax and fire types

Pokémon VGC Strategy: Delphox & Indeedee Synergy Guide

Quick Run down Indeedee + Delphox (mega) + Expanding Force = What i was trying to do
I had Sneasler with Psychic Seed + CC, Dire, Coaching, Protect
CC feels off with no white Herb, and Coaching seems useless as the attack does air for the other 2 (i had king gambito but terrian screws him over worse than drunk seeing a bar and then his wife)

This is for doubles, and by all means start from scratch with indeed and delphox, sneasler isnt a requirement just what i was attempting

Optimizing Japan Sand: VGC Team Building Advice

Wanted to use Japan Sand since Mega Mence is back. Haven’t played fast sand since M-A and not familiar with the archetype.

The sets are as follows:

Salamence @ Salamencite
Hasty Nature
Intimidate
10 ATK / 24 SPATK / 32 SPE
- Tailwind
- Double-Edge
- Hyper Voice
- Protect

Standard 2018 set for the archetype, rarely use TW, too threatened by Ice types despite Ttar and Exca.

Tyranitar @ Choice Scarf
Jolly Nature
Sand Stream
32 ATK / 2 DEF / 32 SPE
- Rock Slide
- Superpower
- Ice Punch
- Knock Off

Standard Scarf Ttar, inflexibility is rough on me.

Excadrill @ Focus Sash
Adamant Nature
Sand Rush
2 HP / 32 ATK / 32 SPE
- Protect
- High Horsepower
- Rock Slide
- Iron Head

Standard Sand Rush set, JS set had LO, gave it to Rotom, hard to use outside of sand.

Milotic @ Leftovers
Bold Nature
Competitive
32 HP / 32 DEF / 2 SPATK
- Protect
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Life Dew

Standard set, genuinely solid on my team.

Sinistcha @ Sitrus Berry
Calm Nature
Hospitality
32 HP / 14 DEF / 20 SPDEF
- Matcha Gotcha
- Strength Sap
- Trick Room
- Rage Powder

Standard set, hardly bring it, hardly does anything.

Rotom-Heat @ Life Orb
Calm Nature
Levitate
32 HP / 6 DEF / 5 SPDEF / 23 SPE
- Overheat
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Protect

Weird set, need a counter to Pelipper, Corviknight and Mega Golisopod. Good against those, horrible against everything else.
