Hey everyone this is what my main perish trap has been for a while. The few hard matchups that I’ve encountered are: Psyspam (50/50 depends on skill and reads), Hard TR (I get demolished almost 80% of the time ngl), and some sort of Balance teams like Italian Balance I think it’s called with M Scovillain and Froslass (again 50/50). Every other matchup has been pretty positive I’d say, Sneasler hard counters but I can work around it with disable and other shenanigans like parting shot and stuff. Feel free to leave any advice or questions on reasons why I have anything specific of the team

In the sense of controlling weather with Politoed?

emberriver-56 OP

Going off of base stats Prim is generally bulkier and has a lower speed stat then toed

@emberriver-56 In the sense of controlling weather with Politoed?

Yeah, the weather control is nice, and also having some utility in icy wind/hypnosis can help a ton in keeping your mons alive long enough for the song to end

nobleanchor-28

dont really need the spread damage from prim if you are trapping anyhow

nobleanchor-28

wait, what is that move set

@nobleanchor-28 wait, what is that move set

In cases where it’s not safe for me to perish with Gengar I mega evolve protect perish on Primarina, if I see any disable options I’ll go for that or if it’s too risky just a safe switch out into most likely Incineroar and then flip turn back to Gengar since Primarina it’s quite slow so it will happen at the end of the turn, and even if there’s certain cases with some meta mons like Golisopod iron head won’t do much damage due to intimidate nerf

Then fake out protect

And then sideways parting shot into my eject button rillaboom switch in

emberriver-56 OP

And then protect protect and that it’s one way I implement perish early game

@nobleanchor-28 Yeah, the weather control is nice, and also having some utility in icy wind/hypnosis can help a ton…

I was also thinking Milotic coil to improve accuracy for hypnosis
