Theorizing a new trick room team staring Mawile. I’m looking for opinions on a 6th ‘Mon in and any other change recommendations will be welcomed. I really like the core of Mawile, Farig, and Big Man B as he coveres Mawile’s Fire and Ground weakness pretty darn well. I also don’t mine the Fire bros dual of offensive Incin and Torkoal I am obviously adding a lot of ground weaknesses to the team so maybe it’s not the best idea. Thanks for the help in advance.

You think rotate out Blastoise mega and in drampa?

Really like the team, Mawile and Blast are some of my favorites. The team is really weak to ground and there are no resists to electric and fighting.

So, probably the best pick is sinistcha. It can solve all three, provide redirection for torkoal, heal both your spout/eruption users, and set trick room on its own.

As a significantly more niche option, I would be remised if I didnt mention Trevenant though:
As a support, it makes use of your sun with harvest (free Occa/Sitrus/Kasib berries), has a redirect that works through stalwart or powder immunity in Ally Switch (though only every other turn), it gets rockslide if you just want to chance flinches or get some rock coverage, and can set rain for blastoise/sun for torkoal. Other utility options are there in haze, leech seed, reflect, will-o-wisp, pain split, toxic, disable and ofc its unique forest curse (actually potentially useful on a sun team but probably not worth a slot. Its a bit of a 4 move syndrome mon.

Can also be used on the offense in TR. Growth in your sun is essentially a swords dance, and you have many good attacking options. STAB wood hammer and poltergeist hit like a truck, horn leech and drain punch can be used on bulkier sets, priority in sucker punch, and spread attacks in EQ and Rock Slide, and more situational options like foul play and knock off.

Adding a grass type also free's up the energy ball slot on Farig to use a different coverage move or helping hand to assist torkoal a nd blast spread.

Yeah that is probably the correct play! Gives me an additional Trick Roomer as well. I like getting off Energy ball on Farig too. I’ll try that to start!
