First, it was literally in their name. Second, they were indeed socialists because, even if motivated by race and the preparations for the war, they pushed for:
- Abolition of unearned incomes (for example from rents, speculation, war profiteering).
- Nationalization of trusts (large corporations/industries).
- Profit-sharing in large industries.
- Expansion of old-age pensions and welfare.
- Communalization (state/municipal control) of large department stores, leased cheaply to small traders.
- Expropriation of land for public use without compensation in some cases; abolition of land speculation and ground rents.
- Creation of a healthy middle class; strong support for small businesses.
- State control over education, breaking "interest sl@very" (usury), and requiring all citizens to work for the common good.

The original name of the party was "National Socialist German Workers' Party" (NSDAP in German).

They are not opposite at all. Both are totalitarian ideologies that aim to control with brutal force and caused enrmous amounts of d€ath. The only different thing is how they aim to get into power

No, communism is about social envy and violent take of others' property to avoid working yourself and earning what you want. So much so that Marx itself talked about using violence to take what isn't theirs to take. It's as criminal as f@scism was (which btw, was NEVER about race, N*zism was about race.
